London Visa Office

OK seniors here is a question based upon my understanding of BG checks and all:

Following is the profile of my friend, how long do you guys reckon it should take for him to get PR:

Visa Office: London

Nationality: Pakistan

Residence: Karachi

Marital Status: Single

Job: Accountant (single company, doing it since Jan 2008, he worked in another company before that but its experience
does not count towards his points)

Travel History: Travelled to UAE on visit visa for 3 months in 2013


PCC: Already submitted

PER: Received in first week of September


I personally believe that it should not take more than a year because apparently, my friend's case does not seem to be too complicated.
Some valuable inputs from 2013 seniors will be highly appreciated.
 
Asalam O Aleikum,

There are FOUR major steps you have to go through after landing as an immigrant:

A. STEP ONE : IMMIGRATION:

1. Follow the queue and when you come out of terminal there will be people announcing loudly for the PR persons to go separately in the mentioned direction. (if get confused ask humbly)
2. You will be guided to immigration officer who will ask for two IDs ;
i . passport of each person
ii. landing papers for each person ( landing paper consists of two pages one is with picture and other is without picture, officer will keep picture paper and will give other back after stamping it: keep this landing paper safely as you will need it till your death )
3. Immigration officer will ask a few questions, he may ask you to declare the accompanied money.
4. He will guide you to other office for SIN card.

B. STEP TWO : SIN CARD:

1. They will again ask you for your passports and landing papers - (Its better to have copy of Landing papers and Passport , so that these could be submitted to SIN Official)

2. Sometimes there is a technical problem in that case they will ask you to go to Service
Canada office near your residence ,in this case you will go directly for third step.


C. STEP THREE : GRAB THE LUGGAGE :

1. Take your luggage from the baggage claim area and move for custom clearance.
2. Odd size bags / cartoons will be on belt marked "Odd Size Luggage) , and usually this is with the wall of building on all International Airports - (Other Than Pakistan and India)


D. STEP FOUR : CUSTOM :

1. You will again be asked about your passports and landing papers.
2. You will be asked to provide declaration of ;

i. MONEY DECLARATION ( HOW MUCH YOU ARE CARRYING )
ii . LISTS OF ACCOMPANIED LUGGAGE
iii. LISTS OF GOODS TO FOLLOW (write down estimated value in dollars )
iv. SEPARATE ISTS OF GOODS THAT HAS BEEN SHIPPED, AND IS ON WAY , WITH COPY OF AIRWAY BILL AND GIVE IT TO CUSTOM OFFICER OTHERWISE THEY WILL PUT HEAVY TAX ON it)

3. They will inquire about your luggage and may ask you to open a bag. Please do not carry medicines of any other relative / person who chronic disease , heart and other issues like this , as our immigration is based upon "Medical Fitness" , and this might result in any odd situation etc

Come straight out and WELCOME TO CANADA.

PPR1 received on 1st oct, LVO asked for bio page of passport
and information chart..upon sending the email to LVO I received
two replies one confirmation email states LVO has received your email
the other at the same time mail box full your message cannot be deliver.
So just wondering which one to believe? Need your expert advice
while sending the email to ldnimmigration@international.gc.ca
I cc it to Isath.Samath@international.gc.ca intact I received two emails on 1st oct
the one with ldnimmigration was with out attachment however
the second which was from Isath.Samath had attached updated chart.
that was the reason I cc it to him as well, appreciate if you could guide
me in this matter.

Hi all,
It is decision made on my application. No passport request yet ... few days back i just received an email that your application is in final processing and in order to continue please refer to attached document but attached document was not opening.

Today, when I checked my E-cas, it is showing decision made.

Hope for good!!!!


From last Wednesday to today, I have sent number of emails to LVO but getting no response. What I should do now???

We considered the attached document as a PPR1 and sent the bio page and information chart but every time email is bouncing back that mailbox is full

Any suggestion???? anyone have an email address of KKB????

Thanks Msaeed. Do we have to indicate when we expect to ship goods to follow?

Send these documents through courier , and attach "Mail Bouncing" Evidences with cover letter

There is no wisdom in wasting time

Sir

Goods to follow could be brought at any time during life time of an landed immigrant.

In order to claim Import Tax Exemptions , one has to show this list , that has been stamped and entered in system at the eve of First Landing
