Two to three weeks maximum.

Hello everyone
This is my first post in forum. I have filed application in May 2013.
File received on 23 May 2013.
Interviewed on Abu dhabi on 23 Feb 2014
Noc 2174
Medical, Landing fee and Police Certificate requested on 15 April.

Now I need the advice on Police Certificate. Actually I travelled to Saudi Arabia for 9 months on work visit visa. It is kind of business visa. Now problem is Saudi does not issue Police Certificate to visiters and also those who left the kingdom. I m very much worried that what should I do. Waiting for help.

You can ask for a waiver for Saudi Police Clearance Certificate ("PCC"). CIC realizes that it is difficult to get a PCC from Saudi if you are not already living there. A friend of mine lived in Saudi Arabia from 2008 to 2010 and then moved to Abu Dhabi. He gave a waiver request to CIC, which was accepted, and now is a permanent resident of Canada.

My interview was on February 26, 2014.

Next update was on April 18, 2014.

It took six weeks. The interviewer had said possibly 4 weeks. So 6 weeks isn't bad.

Dear Admins,

In ECAS, second line has been added. It says

'We started processing your application on April 11, 2014.'

Please update.

Sometimes it is very painful yo see the working pattern of LVO... NDVO is issuing visas within 2 to 3 months these days and it seems that they are almost finishing all their FSW2013 applications vry soon n then they will be free n relaxed...see below one of the NDVO applicant...4 months by CIO for PER and then just 2 months by NDVO...how come All process and even BG done in just 2 months..

I'm from India and applied for FSWP Canadian PR.
Application sent in October 2013
Got the acknowledgment in Feb
Was asked for PCC, Medicals & Passport in March 1st week
Sent the medicals, PCC & passport to New delhi embassy on 28th March
Status changed to Decision made on 4th April
Received passport on 14th April!
That was super quick

Even we see LVO issued visa to Ibasco in 5 months... It means they can also do it in real fast way but they dont want to do this and delaying deliberately... Even if they do 6 months BG check then 5 months + 6 months (11 months) i.e. May/June applicants should have received their visas by now....buttttttttt our painful wait still continues...

The question i am not able to understand is that "Why LVO wants to delay?" If we dont consider some countries under high security / BG checks then what about other applicants who belong to different countries? If an Indian applicant under NDVO can get security clearance so quickly then why another indian applicant under LVO cannot get the same clearance so quickly? Where is the problem? What is the catch?

Thanks for the reply. I got the PCC request on email from LNDIMMIGRATION with subject "POST INTERVIEW REQUEST". In which they requested Medical, Right of Landing Fee and Saudi Arabia PCC. My question is Should i ask for the waiver by replying on same email. Do the need to send them some evidence like English translation of my visa and Exit stamp for Saudi. It would be great if you assist what to write to them.
