I am guessing the section 40a clause is the inadmissibility clause which refuses an individual from entering canada for a 2yrs period or so.
But I would like Rameel to shed more light on this case because it could a learning curve for us all.

Hi Rameel, Please could you shed more light on your case. What was their reason for issuing you with the 40a clause? What were their concerns? Did you attend an interview at the vo?
Please share your experience bcos am sure someone in the house will have a solution for you.
I understand it's a sad situation at the moment, but i will encourage to be strong and not give up until you have explore all possible solutions.
Thans and have a blessed day

Guys! We need a spread sheet for ourselves here. With extra column for Country of Nationality and country of residence. I guess those two factors play major rules in current LVO time lines. Furthermore, I can smell some UAE visa office existence.

Hi

Does anyone have the email address for LVO? I need to update them on my app and online webform they ask you to fill out won't accept my email address. It says the format is not recognized so I can't submit the form.

So if anyone knows of a direct email address that would be great!

Also massive congratulations to all who are now seeing movement on their applications - hope is here at last!

Come on Maria, we know you are there ;D

haha...oh yes im here again...and after this msg i had to reply...

yesterday we booked appointment in abu dhabi (yes the al noor hospital building) at 3 pm for 2 adults and 1 kid..
we paid 1950/-Aed (750/- for adult and 450/- for kid) in cash there....i checked the 3 clinics option in dubai....if someone can easily manage to do medicals in dubai, i think its a better option coz one of them (health bay clinic) is charging less...we could have only paid 1625/- there....695/- for each adult and 235/- for kid....we preferred to stay in town as me n my hubby both work 5 days a week.

anyhow one hour check up was all general, they did urine test, physical examination (with top off,,,,tht was weirddd ),weight check, height check, eye test (not a serious one at all), bp check,,,asked general medical questions...they took our picture with a camera for each application...for kids they ask to bring one passport photo also with white background....they used tht for my daughter coz she was looking down in the picture they took...

then we were directed to hamdan street (life medical centre) for x-ray and blood test...
my hubby's x-ray was repeated 3 times coz of visibility issue and still we are waiting for the doctor's result (i dont know who is at fault....probably the technician)...we r left quite unsatisfied...

my 2.5 year old daughter just had weight check, height check and physical examination...
so good luck everyone....i want to see a lot of MRs this week inshAllah :D :D :D :D

So that means the DMP's clinic was different from Life line hospital where you had Xray and blood test.

yes..its kinda odd and inconvenient....i dont think it happens for every clinic this way...it became blessing in disguise for us as we finished general checks and then went back to job...later in the night we went for x-ray n blood test...coz it was open till 9pm...

both the clinics are approx. 1 signal away...

we are appearing for Medical Examination tomorrow (from IOM Karachi). I'd share my experience once we get through the examination tomorrow......good luck for all.

Thanks for updating Maria.

Are you fully satisfied with the medical examimnation in Abu Dhabi or would you suggest to go to Dubai for the medicals?
