Congrats to all whose got updates, MR and PPR. I sent a mail to CDD yesterday asking about application status and he replied today with the following :
We are currently in the process of completing the required background/ security checks for your application. We are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the completion of this procedure.

However, we will be in contact as soon as there have been further developments with the processing of your file.

Any idea of the timeframe this will take considering I have 3rd line added on Ecas and paid RRPF online. Opinions welcomed..cheers

Standard reply.. same received by me from CDD.. i think every file has different timeline.. from 2 to 8 months..

How much time it may take to get immigration process to complete after application submission (for cases submitted after may 01 2014)... my visa office is London.. as per cic web it will take 27 months, which seems alot.. I heard initially tht applications after may 01 2014 will be entertained within a year..

Plz comment.

Dear - There are many cases from 2013 applicants who have completed the process in less than a year. However, there are many factors involved and it cannot be taken as thumb rule for all applicants. Thanks.

On advice from this forum I emailed London on Tuesday to see if they could advise on progress of application. Today I received a reply saying they were ready to issue COPR!!!! Just need to send in a form and copies of passports.

I think this depends on case by case, the applicants nationality and Country of residence also play a vital role. I have had a friend that got his application treated in London visa office within 7-months in 2012. Just disregard the 27-month, though nobody can tell you the exact time it will take to process your application but i think it should be ready between 12 and 18 months if your case is straightforward. Just be optimistics.
