London Visa Office

Hello fellows,

I am a QSW applicant. I and my wife have already received our CSQs back in June, and now have sent the permanent residence application to CIO. That was on 7 July 2014. We are currently living in the UK so our visa office now is London.

Based on similar applicants' experience, when can we expect to get the medical exam request and the PR visas subsequently?

I would highly appreciate your contributions.

Thanks Rawdah...did you raise any CSE?
I just sent a CSE after sending PCC and put urgentbin subject MCH was kind to reply within 20 mins.
Suggest you should raise a CSE if havent done so far.

Who else is with MCH? Whats their experience

Even I am with him. Ordered GCMS notes and figured out that he/she works in a systematic manner.

1) Asks for updated docs + PCC
2) Requests Security Checks.
3) Sends MR and RPRF.

My processing started in Feb and seems Additional docs with PCC were requested in Feb. But consultant never
received the email.
Was again requested in May. Sent docs with PCC by end of May.
As per Notes security and background checks are in progress ( speculating on that as areas covering info for the same is erased )
but my file was sent somewhere after PCC update.

Would you like to share what update did MCH give on your case ?

I was busy and away from the form and was not able to share my updates.
Alhumdulillah, on 19th July, I received Passports back with Maple Leaf & CoPR. The same date was my PER anniversary date. (And same date, our friend Jigzyy received the stamped Passport). It ends the waiting game for us and next phase of moving ahead is right here!

Congrats to all whose got updates and speedy process for others waiting to hear from their VO.
I have got a couple of question as my VO is CDD and I will like to know how he works.

1.Has any one whose VO is CDD received any updates or PPR after paying RPRF online?

2. Is background checks done before or after MR?

Few Tips from my experience for those who are waiting for updates.


1. If you have not received update for long time, don't hesitate and contact your VO or raise CSE.
2. Pay RPRF through Credit Card , its really fast avoid all delays.
3. Prefer to send documents through emails, as it is free and hassle free.
4. Use reliable email accounts like Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo etc or you are using for correspondence.
5. Keep in touch with your Visa Officer. Inform him/her that your medical is done, or you have submitted the fee etc etc.
I need to send 'Thank you' email to my Visa Officer and inform him that I have received stamped passports.

Very good advice. I was in constant communication with my VO exchanging emails twice a week.
I informed my VO after paying RPRF and after medicals were uploaded and within a day I got PPR. Even I don't have third line in ECAS yet.
All in all, I concur with Stranger Friendly that people keep in touch with VOs. They very nice people and always will help if requested.
