As far as I know money / cash / real estate property cannot be listed on goods to follow list.

Do we need to mention anywhere money we intend to transfer electronically at a later date, or just money we bring in at landing?

I am not sure but you can I have read it some where, give me some time will get back to you on this. If I am not wrong I have asked the same question in CIIP session, but those people were not aware of the rule.

@ All Indian Expats:

Concerning the POF carrying from India as most of us expats don’t keep much savings here rather keep it in India.

We can open the Scotia bank account from India or from Dubai. You need to have COPR copy and Visa copy to open the bank account.

The salient features of Scotia bank account is as follows:

1. Very less service or transaction charges maximum 3000-4000 INR for single transaction vs other banks charge for DD approximately 3.5 RS per 1000 RS depending upon bank to bank.
2. One time money transfer is allowed up to 50,000 CAD$.
3. One year free locker.
4. Free Credit Card for one year, available immediately upon your landing.
5. Account will be opened form Dubai or India, but cannot be operated from here.
6. Once you land in Canada need to go to Scotia bank to update your SIN number to activate your account.
7. Same day you will get ATM card and CC card.

In UAE it depends from bank to bank service charges for making CAD$ DD for example SCB charges 30 AED for en number of account while ADIB charge 75 AED.
