HAHAHa--Sir jee tusee sahi lahori ho ;D ;D. Well, I think they have some hidden criteria based on foreign education, foreign experience or may be multinational company experience, your past travel to Canada, it could be any thing.

Allhamdullilah its PPR, i have been advised to submit passpirts to VAC in london with information chart.
P.S: My overpayment wasnt a problem for lvo and they accept it electronically.

I have mailed current / valid passports of entire family for Visa at CHC Islamabad.
There is no harm in sending expired one , to be on safer side
