I have dispatched only current passports - (Valid Ones whose copies were mailed in PPR-1) to CHC for Visa Stamping and COPR?.
Old and expired passports of my family members were not mailed , as I understood that only current ones are required , information of whom were submitted in PPR-1 Stage.

Have I done it right ?

To the best of my knowledge, YES. As during my interview, I brought all my (and my wife's) old passports, but he asked me only the latest ones (imperative to mention that my wife's passport was updated). While mentioning this thing that we have different passports then the ones (copies) provided before, he replied that doesn't matter as he will be requiring latest copies afterwards and see the latest valid ones.

Would you mind elaborating what kind of original documents have you sent to CIC/CIO/VO?

Hey!

I recently got my passport back with visa stamped on it from Islamabad Office. However, I still have not received any of my original documents back, that I submitted to CIC at the time of applying. Can anyone guide me as to how I should get my originals back? And will I get them in Pakistan or when I land in Canada? What I have heard is that they give it to the sponsor and not the applicant but I'm not sure. Can someone please confirm? I am supposed to land on 3rd July so I dont have much time.

Will really appreciate the help!

Msaeed Brother,

I believe, your family passports weren't carrying any visa therefore, it is totally OK.

Obviously, visa will be stamped on current passports but in certain scenarios, sending old passports becomes critical especially for applicants living abraod. For example, in my case, work/residence permits have been renewed recently and stamped on the new passports while we were having previous work/residence permits on older passports at the time of application. Therefore, I will send both, new and old, passports for all family members, In Sha Allah.

me too. Though I received mr end of april but had a new born in the family. So I asked dxs if I should go ahead with medicals and dxs told me to send processing fee of the new born and updated forms and then do medicals for all family members including the newborn. Our package was received at lvo on 27 may 2014 and now there is absolute silence....so the waiting starts all over again....its so agonizing.

PPRI is issued by separate Department Previously it was called PHEP and now VPU .......and on PPR1 your visa office does not sign he handed over your case to next depart .........
