This is what i copied from Ahmed79's post ... i don't know how to link this : seems like he is also from UAE as well !!!!!

I don't think country of residence (UAE) play any role here, it is merely just a co incidence.
Lvo serves various countries including UAE. And the expats within UAE apply in bulk for Canada immigration.

So lot of UAE residents can be seen with mr pr n so on.

I agree with you. Farhan is from pakistan who got MR and I believe common thing is that all these applicants are early MAY applicants.

I believe there is a queue system for applications based on application receipt date or could be PER date. There may exist more than one queues; such as regular queue, priority queue etc. All application are opened in queue but process on each application doesn't take same time. We can relate this process with the processing of different prescriptions in a huge pharmacy.

As soon as a customer gets into the pharmacy, he gets a queue number. There are normally more than a dozen number of counters where pharmacists are processing the prescriptions. Customers are called upon by their queue number. Every customer is thinking once my number is called upon, my medicine will be given within few minutes as everything is written on prescription. Even the patients with long list of medicines on their prescriptions are also hopeful that they will be served quickly and all medicines will be available as the pharmacy is quite huge. But when one patient is called upon, the time taken for the whole process depends on following factors:

1. Readability of the prescription (compliance of all forms & supporting documents with CIC requirements)
2. Type and number of medicines (complexity of PR application)
2. Availability of all medicines on prescription (BG checks)
3. Experience of the pharmacist, may come back to customer saying certain medicine is not available at the moment but actually, it is (unnecessary delays)
3. Mode of the pharmacist (long processing time)

The most important thing to remember is that everyone will be processed sooner or later therefore, I suggest everyone that don't get panic if someone get MR before you and his application was filed later than you.

I wish good luck for everyone in this forum and also everyone out of this forum.

AOA Maria,

I have been a silent reader of this forum and don't write much because there was nothing to share really. It's a good news that LVO is finally active and hope for a flurry of MRs to follow soon.
I actually compared our time lines when you were active in the other forum of "fswp 2013 candidates let's network here"... And since then I read your every post with particular interest lol... Anyways congratulations from my side for MR. And I am waiting for mine now... I am also a May 23 applicant for 2147 and received my PER on August 7. So it's exactly a similar timeline. However I am still waiting for MR.. Any thoughts on whether they randomly pick out applications and send MRs or is there a FIFO sequence. Because if it is FIFO, I should also have received my MR on Friday lol... Hope so it is on it's way somewhere soon down the line :D
Appreciate again for you being an active member and keep posting good news :-)
Btw one more similarity that I am also from Abu Dhabi lol..Too much of a coincidence :-)

Dear all,

After a long time, I logged in to this forum to share the good news that, I received the emails attached with Medical Forms (for me and my wife) just two hours ago.

I am sorry that I am not regular here as I am at the last stage of my Ph.D. research, so I have been totally occupied with this over the last 6 months. I wish all the best for all of us again. Kindly don't get disappointed if I am not replying here. Thanks.
Congratulations ahmed. Best wishes way forward

Fellows, today we went through our medical examinations in IOM Karachi.

For me and my spouse, they took chest X-ray and blood samples. They took urine sample of mine, spouse and my elder daughter (10 yrs, younger daughter
who is less than 3yrs, was exempted).

Physical examination (which was detailed, really detailed one) was done for the entire family (2 adults and two kids).

It all got concluded in approx 2 hours...........they said that by Monday they'd up-load the results...

Wishing all the best for everybody.

What was the total cost?
What was included in the detailed physical exam?
