Thanks for the congratulations everyone!

To answer the questions raised... it took 15 days from getting the "Medical results received" line in ECAS (1month 1week from MR). I'm from a visa-waiver country, so possibly that could have helped with whatever security checks they do.

LVO asked for the passports to be sent to the VAC (I heard that they might only need photocopies, but it doesn't say that)
They also asked for an updated "information chart" which is just your eye colour, height and passport details.
Finally they want 2 updated passport-photos for all the family - so we're of to get those taken shortly.

The document says we will be without our passports for 6 weeks.

Happy days, we're from visa-waiver country too, but didn't expect they would ask us to send passports ...

Hi all just got my PPR they need my passports but iam from a Visa. waiver country ?
Also waiting for my wife new passport to arrive will that delay anything example as it will have new numbers shall I send the old one to ?

Dear Seniors and all forum members i need your valuable help.

I have applied through consultant who received his last installment after MR , For the last month he was very uncooperative, didn't answer my calls . I asked them many times to send CSE to LVO but no response, after i fade of them i sent the CSE to VO by myself & reply come back with PPR1.
2 days after the PPR request i forwarded to them all the photocopies of passports so they will to send it to LVO, & since that time i call many time just to confirm that they already send it but they neither answer my calls nor reply my emails. & I'm not sure if they already sent it or not yet ???
Now my question is ( Is it OK to send the passports photocopies to LVO from my email, put in your mind that the PPR1 was come to my email also as response to my CSE) Or it will creat problem/delay for me c case if i do so ??!!

And what if they already sent one & i sent another copies to VO?? is it problem ??

You can raise CSEs, no worries.

You can send them passport copies from your email address. You should be fine.

From now on, handle this yourself.

How long has it been since you sent them passport copies? They take a few days to get back to you. In the meantime, they will never acknowledge the receipt of any documents.

Also who is your consultant, so that we may not use him in the future?

Thank you for reply, i sent my passports last week but the point made me worried is that I'm not even sure if the consultant sent my passports photocopies or not yet, As i called them so many time to ask & confirm but they keep escaping & not answering me that make me more worries planing to send it by myself but I'm afraid this may cause delay or problem on my case if they already received one by my consultant , do you think it would ?? ?

The consultant office is Canada immigration service

Did you send the Passport Copy or the Original Passport?

And when?

I suggest raise a CSE.

Ask them when will they send you the request for the passports.
