I have dome my medicals and given my cheque for Landing fee, but last night I realised that her passport expires on August will that be a problem if they issue PR in May or June ?

You can better renew your pp now as you still didn't receive ppr.

after long waiting my ecas status has been changed from application received to in process. my application received was 12DEC12. since then I am waiting for MR. I already sent additional docs in Apr 2013.

I have done it in Sharjah on 12th and it was uploaded on 14th. It was possible that it would get uploaded on 13th. I think they are pretty fast as well.

Same case as mine and as per Visa Officer advise, we can renew the passports right after the medicals. That is better, you have a window of 3-6 month before receiving the PPR so renewing the passports in this period is okay. Then we you receive PPR insha'allh you send the new passport

I will suggest following;

1. Apply for Passport renewal
2. Immediately inform LVO that you have applied for Passport renewal of your wife , and will inform them accordingly.

Fresh Passport will be affective once your PPR comes

thank you for the wishes and the advice, I just want to clarify if its ok to sent mail directly to LVO although our cosultat has already did it, and if its not going to affect my application, also if you have any idea about the expected time for LVO to respond to the mail pls.

Just a quick question... I've almost lost hope, but just received a request from the officer to send updated info. I've applied in June 2013, LVO. how long does it take to receive Medical request?? now my Ecas show we started processing your file in April 2014. tried to crack the code from the excel file but couldn't get any timeline. I'd appreciate any rough figures here.
