Resuming fswp for 2014 is good news but for majority of applicants its going to be messy. Lets look at it from this angle that if they are not able to process 5000 applications in 1 year then for 25000 it will take more than 5 years. This program is all about making money by cic, because they collect filling fees for all 25000 applications and sit on the majority. After making profit they will turn to the parliment and law court and cancel majority of applications and say we will issue refunds without interest. Is that not robbery? There is no transparency about this whole thing. LVO will not even issue you with aor so you know they habe ur file until you raise cse. They are ineffecient, disrespectful and untouchable even though our fees pays their salaries. Most people are fed up with them and their delay tactics under the guise of BG and security checks. For God sake they should come out and say we want applicants from only this or that place and stop playing with poeples intelligence. Because it increasing looking obvious like that now.

LVO is still not able to start properly FSW2013 applications where the Global Applicantion till now are 4300 and even if we assume 25% only for LVO which means ~ 1100 applications. In one whole year they could not finalize even 5% of this (considering all LVO applicants on this forum under LVO are still waiting for their applications except 2 applicants who got visa). How will they manage this new intake of 25000 applicants...

everytime CIC announces new applications, LVO starts forgetting old applications...we can see several 2010 applicants under fast track are still waiting...and then this ripple effect will keep going...

Even I dont understand this move by Canada government. How can they announce newa applications with sudden increase from 5K to 25K (5 times more) without checking and ensuring about the previous applications?? ?? ?? ?? :-X

I have been to Toronto this March and they granted the visit visa after a delay of 1 month!(had to change my travel plans due to it) I have got fairly good travel history and this whole check thingy just annoys me. I have moved to Australia now and seriously contemplating about filing my EOI in here. Australian Immigration procedures are seamless and not a hassle!

I believe in millions and only 25K would make it through! Just imagine the amount of capital that would be generated using WES and their initial fees..millions would be rejected..do the math and you'll see how vile this whole plot is! I am waiting for my GCMS notes now and this whole fiasco of 1 year processing time was nothing but a total scam!

I remember one guy here on this forum mentioned that he paid the Fee online by using CIC website and then sent CSE and receipt to LVO. Is there any update on his side? Did he get a reply from LVO?

My friend LVO are powerless if you pay fees online. They have no option but to accept it. Look one guy on the main forum sent a DD to NDVO and after 3 months they told him to pay online as they misplaced his DD. This is the same NDVO who said before that they only accept DD. These VO are causing causing misery to people too much. They have to come out and say the obvious that people can pay online through CIC webpage. This system is disjointed and inefficient

Also note that CIC and Minister used to play foul games in the past as well...

They are saying in current statement that "With the FSWP backlog on track for elimination this year, a new cap of 25,000 applications will provide the appropriate number of applications to support expected admissions in 2015."

But dont forget what they did 2 years back to eliminate the backlog of Pre-2008 applications. People were waiting for several years and then they suddenly announced that they have a new bill to cancel all these applications and refund the amount to clear the backlog

They have authority to terminate all applications by bringing in law for that. We applicants can not do any thing. As inviting an application is not a guarantee to process it.

My personal opinion is that they will not "Terminate " old applications , but will "Eliminate" them by processing , the pledge that has been given by govt many times

I don't think skilled applicants invited for the Express entry will be different from fswp 2014 occupation (obviously not from the 25k). Afterall, Canada is seeking skilled professionals which their economy needs. The issue is, will both programs run concurrently? Will fswp 2014 close by December 2014 to give way for Express Entry in 2015?

Both programs will run parallel.
2015 EOI will take at least 03 months for any applicant to get invitation to apply.
All 2014 applicants will receive PER after 03 months from CIC (On an avg) , and them LVO will come in action

I like many others is helpless , and like many also get disappointed at times.

You are frustrated after 06 months , where as personally I have suffered a lot in terms of many opportunities that have been intentionally refused / overlooked for Canadian Immigration.

We have no choice , other than waiting.

Can you imagine what would be my condition , when I came to know after 2.5 years that LVO has never received my documents!!!!!!!

If any one who intends to be an immigrant , has to wait - NO Option mate - Burring your heart will make no impact on any visa office.

If they have announced 2014 prog , these applications will get visa in 2015 , as indicated by minister - I believe that all FSW 2013 applicants will be processed this year

No update yet from my end. In fact, I just emailed LVO to ask them if they received my medical results (medical done on 22/04) and RPRF receipt. I shall revert once I hear back...
