Another day passed without any update :(

I am now really thinking to accept the new job offer as we have no clue about the time frame to get the visa...Buttttttttt the only confusion is that I have to change my current residency to another country which looks very hectic at this moment and 2ndly I am thinking it may cause a delay to my application (just my thinking) if I send new job documents, new residence in a new country etc ??? ::) :-\

Thanx....It may look strange but I have decided to utilize the max period allowed by CIC...Like for medical they allow 2 months time and will do same for the remaining process.....

hmmm different approach i must say... most of us here were excited to do the medicals in the first week of MR..looks like u need more time for landing..
still i would recommend not to delay more than a month to avoid any hassle (just my opinion) ... good luck :)

I second this opinion, give yourself a reasonable margin of time for any issues that would appear. see Jigzyy had to drive 800 km back because laboratory mistake.

Just read this. If this is launching Jan 2015 then they'd really better get a move on with our applications. I suggest all may/June apps raise cse and ask for a non generic reply.

Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander announced earlier this week that Canada’s new recruitment model for economic immigration will be called “Express Entry”. This new model is set to launch in January 2015. “Express Entry promises to be a game-changer for Canadian immigration and Canada’s economy,” said Minister Alexander. “It will revolutionize the way we attract skilled immigrants, and get them working here faster.”
The Express Entry system was formerly referred to as the “Expression of Interest” system. The system will be open to skilled workers. These individuals will submit applications to a pool of candidates from which the government will invite the most qualified to apply for permanent residency. In addition, individuals who receive a valid job offer or a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program are guaranteed to receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency. In this way, the government hopes to grant permanent residency to the people most likely to succeed in Canada, rather than ‘those who happen to be first in line’.

The Government of Canada will invest $14 million dollars over two years to ensure the successful implementation of the Express Entry system. A further $4.7 million will be provided for every ongoing year

If you do want to delay your medical, make sure you pre-book the date with the medical-centre in case they start getting booked-up. The earliest medical I could book was nearly 2 weeks from when I called.

I'm in the "lets get there as soon as possible" camp by the way, one of my kids hopes to start high-school over there on 2 September :)

PS. Anyone know the answer to this? http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-form-imm-5743-t197998.0.html
