Don't quit your jobs to settle here in Canada

Just a word of advice for PR applicants wanting to come to Canada from the UK. Canada is in a RECESSION.
This isn't the right time to come. I have been here for two months now without a job, the complexity of the situation here is you will be competing with highly skilled locals who have lost their jobs due to the downturn of oil prices. They studied here, have Canadian experience so mathematically they'll stand a better chance of being snapped up as compared to an intl applicant.

Don't make the mistake I made, if you do not believe any word I've said, come here briefly for a few weeks to experience the climate before making any hasty decision.

NB: Thinking of coming back to the UK within a month if the situation here doesn't improve.

I totally agree with u that Canada is in recession at the moment. The currency is depreciating against USD and is on 13 years low. Thr r job cuts and jobs r hard to find bcz of current conditions. Luckily, in finance sector thr r less job cuts but very few new jobs.

Currently, Alberta is doing badly and Ontario and BC r slightly better but competition is very high in Ontario.

So ur advise is very sound for new comers.

As for u, since u hv been here 2 months so I wud suggest to stay here fr a month more and try to find a job then look fr survival jobs. The avg. time for a newcomer to get a job in Canada is 6 months. So use this time to enhance ur skills, learn the Canadian culture and about Canadian experience.

Bro i dont know when this time will come i have same time line same visa officer but now the reply to cse is file undergoing review even Gcms notes reveal this thing i think you shd go for notes to know status in depth

I did not apply for notes till now but what i believe is, this will not make any difference. i am unable to understand where the constraints are, why are the disparities in processing. there is no problem in my job verification, i am still working in the same organization and it is a big organization no issue whatsoever in verification or background checking

one way is, if you have made any correspondence with them, like CSE, the name of the program assistant replying to yuor query will be mentioned (in some cases).

Hi All,

Yesterday, by the grace of God received the RPRF email which includes additional docs request like pcc, information chart, background declaration form, family and supplementarty travel info form. My Ecas also got updated yesterday with TLU i-e: medical results received. Thanks to all seniors and wish God that all of us have a speedy process and reach our goals soon.

Congratulations on getting married!

Please raise case specific enquiry (CSE) with your visa office and inform them about your marriage. Also ask them for what to do next to add your spouse.

They will ask you to send proof of marriage (Docs, Pictures) and application form and fees for your wife.

you have to inform them about change in status that is marriage. They will send you list of required information. This will usually include:

- Updated Forms (generic, background, family etc)
- Processing fees
- Birth Certificate of your spouse
- Marriage certificate (translation if not in english)
- PCC of spouse
- Copy of passport
- Photographs

Don't delay in informing them, since we are required to intimate them as soon as our circumstances change. All the best and get your documents ready
