Whole week was a dry week from LVO.

Was it because Of Interviews ? When is the Last interview this month ?

February interview applicants were told that they will be getting MR in 2-3 weeks, & it has already Passed and No News !! Why is LVO lagging behind always, even in commitments ?

Hi guys,
So I finally had my interview in London yesterday , as they never replied to my request of changing the interview office.
The officer was very kind and the interview was hold in a private office. He requested the updated forms and then, he started to ask for all original documents.
When we got to the job reference letters he ask me about what I had to do in each jobs but when we were talking about the posicion related to the NOC, he asked me lots of questions, very puntual question and he even had the job description from the NOC open on his computer so every time I replied he checked the PC and asked me more questions.
After that, he asked for the police certificates and the he told me we was satisfied with all the information, that I meet the criteria and the minimun points and that he was going to send me in a couple of weeks medical request, the next payment and, probably, a request for updated police certificate from uk.
So, very good news for me......and all of you....
He also said I could ask any question I wanted as we dont have the opportunity to be face to face with an immigration officer frequently and this is the information I got.....
He didnt say why I was called, he said it could have been due to ramdom checks or because they wanted to verify something.
He said there are 20 officers working of the applications but they have such a big backlog that they have been working hard in that and are trying to finish all those applications this year. Also, he said their aim is to finish each 2013 application within 1 year from the application date (not the PER date) as they will start the new programe next year.
I think this is more or less how the interview was. I hope it helps.
My only recommendation is to be well prepared to support your experience.

Good luck to you.
Regards,
Claudia
Nice info. Almost similar to what my Visa Officer told me. You got additional info that there only 20 immigration officers working and a lot of backlog. Assuming LVO gets around 1500 applications for FSWP this year and they have a lot backlog (approx 13000) than a total of 14,500 applications needs to be finished by these 20 people [725 applications per person].

IF they go through roughly 8 applicants per day (assuming 1 for each hour and 8 hours a day) then that's about 90 days before they come back to end of the queue and restart it. So on average, 2.5 - 3.5 months is what LVO takes to get back to an applicant. This timeline fits perfectly with old FSWP programs. So it is possible that FSWP'13 applicants get a priority, like out of every 8, 3 would be FSWP'13 applications, so maybe that's why on average LVO is taking 1.5 - 2 months for FSWP'13 response.

Let's start to kill few days over this disucssion now ;D

I would have been satisfied if he would have drilled me in every job that I had done. but he laid emphasis on 2174. Though I had provided an experience letter for, but I had applied in 2147 which should have been the major point for my interview. Instead he was worried about 2174 and even said as per the major job category for wich u have aplied 2174 he started asking questions. he didnt even touch any other experience letter.

I clarified at the end that its 2147 and not 2174 and even pointed out the reference letter for which I had applied. But still he said I am rejecting at the moment based on the interview and will review and let u know the final outcome in 2-3 weeks. he did accept the fault.

Later on when i reached home, I checked my Application form and as stated I had applied as 2147 only .
Not much mistake from my side.
Sad to hear prince_of_darkness. Brother, I guess ur officer was assuming ur NOC as 2174 from the very beginning, thts why he was finding mismatch with the described work experience u provided during application. Since then he was pre-determined that he will reject u. As ur file was on local VO , without direct rejection he asked for interview if u have something to say. It would have been possible, if the officer considered ur actual NOC as 2147 at the starting, u might not be called for interview.

Now u have guided that officer with his mistake, so good thing he is going to have a review again, inshallah will have a positive review considering ur actual NOC....

So keep calm ur nerves, pray to god.. :)

Thanks for all the congratulations!

I think there were some interviews scheduled for Monday and then presumably the VO will be busy issuing MR's to all you folks interviewed in Abu Dhabi! :)

One bit of info the VO shared with me... I asked about the process for next steps, and the VO shared with me that when the medicals come back in they are checked by CIC doctors, and that at certain times of year there are quite a lot to check, hence why it takes a little bit of time after you take your medical.

I'm delighted to report a positive interview experience. :)

The officer was helpful and good at taking away nerves, which made things quite straightforward.

I was given the same 2 weeks to medical, 2 months to finish kind of timeline as others have reported.

Prince,

I am sorry to hear about your interview experience but this is not the end, I believe. As VO said, he will review again; this time VO will review your application based on your actual primary occupation, NOC 2147.

By the way, how many points you require to reach 67 from your experience? What I am thinking is that you might be claiming some points from your 2174 experience to reach 67 and your reference letter(s) for 2174 wasn't strong enough to prove that your performed duties under NOC 2174. Though VO was mistaken for primary occupation but he might be unsatisfied for your 2174 experience to award you points. This is just my assumption which might be wrong especially if you really don't need points for your 2174 experience to reach 67 pass mark.

Anyways, don't lose hope; hopefully it will come out a positive result for you. I would suggest you to review your application again especially forms & supporting documents related to your experience & see if you can send any improved supporting document(s) to strengthen your case further.

Hi Guys,

I went for interview in London yesterday,
Start was ok, then the officer started asking me about my previous experience in a different category 2174 to be precise,

Then at the end he said he is not satisfied that I have performed all the duties listed and may have asked my organisation to type a letter like that.
To which I responded I did. He was satisfied that I have performed some of the duties though. Basically the whole interview was based on 2174.
he said the category in which u have applied that is 2174 " Im not satisfied that u have performed all of the duties and hence I am rejecting you but will review and let u know in 2-3 weeks".

I clarified to him, that I have applied in 2147 and thats my primary occupation and hence should be considered on that, to which he replied there must be some confusion. He didnt even ask me about 2147 for which I had applied.
Then he said, even though its 2147 based on the interview, i am rejecting you at the moment but will review and let u know in 2-3 weeks time.
before the start he had checked my education and made me sign the background deceleration.

He was adamant that he will reject me. Before the start he had asked me about all the work I had done in brief and was satisfied. and then he started drilling me on 2174.
An immigration officer accepting his fault that there is confusion and why should there be any confusion thats what I am thinking. I guess he never even had read my application properly.

Hope for the best,

Even though they just considered 2147 experience I am still way ahead of 67 Take away all the experience apart from 2147 , i am still ahead 67.

I have already shown him my payslips and contracts for which he was satisfied. including 2174 and 2147 experience

Inshalla Brother, Coz he did admit his mistake and I had even pointed out the reference letter which related to 2147.
Hopefully he will reconsider and Inshallah it would be positive.

I just dont understand why people still have high hopes that LVO will complete applications within a year. My assessment of the way LVO works is bleak I am afraid. And to be honest I dont understand why they are allowed to process so many thousands of applications. The best we can hope is that we dont become history before EOI begins in 2015. I think they dont follow any procedure, they do their own thing and no one even the minister questions them.

As always I would be glad if LVO proves me wrong by treating people as human beings and processing our applications with some urgency

I agree with you. I don't those who applied in May will be processed by this May - they haven't enough time now.

Hope they prove me wrong aswell though.

@ Darshan - I hope your interview went well today. Sorry I didn't see you (or other folks being interviewed), but I was out of that place like a shot so wasn't likely to!
