I raised a CSE regarding status of my application. Got reply from RFI that my application is awaiting to be reviewed.

I have two queries, what does this mean and secondly "RFI" is my concerned Visa Officer?

Dear All,

Just got an email to submit passport to LVO through VFS office in London. But 4th line is not updated yet.

"You should expect to be without your passport(s) for four weeks, so do not arrange any travel that will require your passport(s) during this period."

Did any one here submit passport through VFS London who is not in UK resident?

Hi. I did. I posted my passport and other docs from Philippines to Vfsglobal london. Payment will be arranged over the phone when they receive the package.

From which Visa office you get the passport back? From where did you apply?

I sent my passports to CHC Islamabad. They issued the visa (place of issue London) on the 9th of April, the day the passports were received, then cancelled it for some reason. The 2nd visa was issued on the 4th of May (place of issue Islamabad) and the passports were delivered today.

LVO is really testing our nerves. its been 125 days since PER and no update. I know some people are waiting for more then 180 days but this is some thing insane. Every day i check online but their is nothing. No GCMS since more then a month.

They have three options to get back the passport: personal (which obviously we cant), sending a prepaid envelope or label when you initially send the passport and docs, or you can use their service. I opted to use their courier for GBP 100 as i cant find any local courier with prepaid label services.

The service charge for passport transmission is GBP 16.54 + 100 for courier. That's how much ill have to pay =( if only they just allowed to stamp my passport in my country like other applicants did.

What has been recent developments with applicants being assessed by MCH ?

I have no 2nd line or MR. 150+ days after PER.

Thank you once again. It means that you sent your passport from the Philippines by courier to VFS and they will send it back to you by courier after stamping. You have paid the fee already over Phone.

I just sent it yesterday. Might take 3-5 days to get there and once they have it, that's the time theyll call to arrange the payment. They will only transmit passport to cvo for stamping if service charge (16.54 gbp) is paid.

Didnt u enquired from VFS phillipines whther they will collect ur visa from LVO instead of Manilla? Courier seems kind of headache

I did. coz we would think they kind of work together right? But vfs manila said they only service from within the philippines. They cant send the passport to london but they might be the one to deliver the stamped passport to me. Costs an arm though.
