I received the following email from LVO in response to my CSE asking them to confirm the receipt of my PCC and to let me know the current status of my application

If you have recently submitted documents or information to this office, we will update your file accordingly or take necessary action.

Due to the high volume of applications in process at this office, we cannot acknowledge receipt of every fax, mail or other correspondence (documents or information).

If we require additional documents, we will contact you.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Amazing Rawdah, they didn't reply you clearly if they have recieved your documents and also, no update about your application status if it is under review or awaits review. I think, you may have just asked directly to confirm if your documents have been recieved without providing any details of the package/CSE attachment sent, correct me if I am wrong.

In my case, I sent my updated documents through courier in 2nd week of Decemer and I raised CSE in 4th week of January, almost 6 weeks after sending the updated documents. I had provided complete details of the package sent i.e. courier name, tracking number, shipping date, reciept date & time and recieving person name. I had also requested to inform me the status of my application. I recieved following reply very next day:

The documents have been received. The file is currently in a queue awaiting review.

You can see that they didn't bother to address; direct to the point two lines reply. No signature too in my case, while in your case it is Client Service Unit. And also in my case, signature is only in English while signature in reply to you is both in English & French. Therefore I was thinking that you may haven't given complete details of your package, due to which they couldn't confirm if the package is really recieved and asked front line desk to send you standard reply but in my case, they could have to figure out that package has been recieved and I recieved reply from some internal section.

Thinking of raising another CSE giving complete details.

What do you think whether it will be right to raise another CSE so soon, the last CSE was sent on 18th Feb and I received reply on 19th Feb or instead of raising CSE in online form, I should just email them on LDNIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca

I believe that inverview calls by LVO are similar to physical checks by NDVO. Both things are done to assess if applicant is geniune. It is not easy for LVO to visit different applicants residing in different countries, therefore it seems that there prefered way is to conduct an interview rather to visit the current employer of the applicant physically. This is kind of a quality check to assess where the whole LOT stand for. Ideally, LVO should have selected applicants from more than 2 or 3 NOCs for the interviews but it is not seend. The reason could be that the NOCs selected for the interviews were the fast moving NOCs in FSW 2013, therefore percentage of thse NOCs is way too higher than the other NOCs. Anyways, we can just make our calculated guess but reality is only known to LVO.

I also believe that BG checks are done for all applicants. I don't think so that any applicant can get PR without any kind of BG checks; just on the basis of his/her application. There must be different kind of BG checks which include but not limited to lanuage claims, education degrees & ECA report, work experience, security & criminality etc. I thhink, these checks are done both by Visa Office and also by third parties hire. Visa Office can check language claims and education & ECA reports easily by contacting directly with IELTS, WES and others. They should be able to find out if submitted IELTS and WES reports are geniune or fake. Thirs parties must be checking for work experience, security & criminality records. I think, this is the critical path of this whole process. If Visa Office is not getting final report from third party of the certain applicant, the processing gets delayed & delayed. It could be delayed for an applicant whose name is similar to a criminal living in the same country. This is what called luck. Since LVO is dealing with so many countries and few countries have bad reputation regardless if people living in those countries are really bad or not. Therefore, BG checks by third parties for LVO could be much longer than other Visa Offices.

This is just my understanding & opinion, could be wrong.

Thank you guys. I want to try and analyse the content of the email, and this may apply to other applicants waiting for LVO.

(1). From the tone of the email received from LVO "we will be in contact when there have been further developments with the processing of the file", the underlined statement could mean that they have concluded some aspects of BG checks, have proceeded with further assessments and waiting for feedbacks/results- may be security and criminality checks? Only after then, they will be in contact. I will pray, wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.

(2). "Whilst we understand that you are eager to travel to Canada and establish with your family as permanent residents, be advised that the Immigration process can be lengthy". Just like Maria has said, LVO wants to carryout processing applications at their own pace. U will recall I said in the CSE I raised to LVO, I made reference to the Due date in my GCMS note. Remember LVO set this date and it seems they don't want to abide by that DATE. Why? Immigration process can be lengthy.

(3). In conclusion, No one can rush LVO, not even the Minister. But they have these words of encouragement for all applicants-"we understand that you are eager to travel to Canada and establish with your family as permanent residents". So, cheer up guys!!

Just to correct u a little bit my friend, NDVO is responsible for India, Nepal and Bhutan .

Also about BGC , lets take my example, ( Though I am not a shining example. lol) I have shown all work experience from UK firms which can be easily verified (through emails, Phone, or direct visit, all happen to be in London), only 1 experience of mine is from India which would hardly matter as I have not applied in that category. even though that can be verified.

And security checks are different we all would get stuck coz of our names ( we all know what i mean ) .

So in m humble opinion its nothing to do with fake/spam or other stuff. Its just their way of working and for their records that they have done thorough investigation before finalizing a case. If fake / Spam would have been their major concerns than they would have interviewed everyone ( we all would have been a bogus applicant in their eyes.)

I can see the difference, here they have mentioned that your file is awaiting review. You are August Applicant, so perhaps they are not entertaining August applications yet, and e-mail that received by hila1, they wrote that your file is in process & bare in mind he is May applicant.

So sounds, LVO is still stuck with May Applications, and there is hardly chance for June-July-Aug applications to receive update. I hope, atleats May applicants get updates quickly.
