it has been a while...
I was waiting for MR however, it seems the delay was for a reason, I have emailed LVO and I have got this repl...... this now makes it even longer process

Your file is now in a queue awaiting interview scheduling and you will be informed of date, once this has been scheduled. The interview will take place in Abu Dhabi.

Each application is unique and it is not possible to compare one application with another with respect to case processing.

Hello all members ,

Did anyone undergone Re-medicals after getting letter from CIC for visa stamping?

I just got email for CIC that the office is ready to issue my visa so i have to submit my passport within 30 days.
The problem is that my medical is going to expire before this 30 days.
So I am planing send email to CIC and inform them that i would like to undergo Re-medical in order to get maximum visa duration.

Did any one performed Re-Medical before the stamping of visa?

I need your guidance.
LVO asked for PCC two days back. I came to Saudi Arabia 6.5 years back from Pakistan. In pakistan I lived in two different cities after my 18th birthday.

I assume i have to take PCC from 3 places. Saudi Arabia, Islamabad and Lahore.

Can someone please clarify two points below?

1. Do i have to take PCC from each city i stayed in Pakistan or 1 PCC covering from any city the whole duration in Pakistan?
2. Can the PCC be obtained from Pakistan Embassy in Saudi Arabia?
Please reply soon, as the time is short.

Dear forum members... anyone knows the foreign cuurency limit while travelling from pakistan....

As per canadian Law, anything more than CAD 10,000 , one must declare on declaration card, however there is no any limit of amount you carrying while entering into canada.

As for Pakistan, Federal minister announced that the five thousand dollars limit is applicable to the passengers who want to carry foreign currency while traveling abroad.

I do not know about how to obtain PCC from Embassy in Saudi Arabia but for Pakistan PCC, you only require ONE. Not from each city (Lahore & Islamabad), PCC represents country wide clearance certificate, not a city specific.

Alhamdullilah,
After doing my landing I am back in UK.
Landing was easy no questions asked just sign and welcome to Canada. I landed in Calgary .
the officer (CSBA) only asked me if I am bringing any goods later to which I said NO. NO accompanying goods form from my side, no forms for goods to follow,
Next day got my SIN and Alberta Health Card and opened my Bank Account.

Rest 12 days, got my feet up and enjoyed the snow.

By the grace of Allah SWT, I have received passports back with visa stamped on it which my consultant had submitted to CHC-Isb on October 25, 2014. I got the good news as surprise as my consultant hadn't told me that he has received PPR-2 and sent the passports.

Thanks you all for your support and kind words when I was worried. This forum is a place if genuine people and help.

I would like to specially Msaeed for his continues and selfless support. I would like to extend my gratitude to others including Newmanitoban, luqi, rawdah, EMEI and many others who were with me from the beginning.

In the end I wish the very best of luck to Luqi and others who are still waiting for their applications to be processed. You guys have been awesome and your patience has been remarkable.

I hope to start my life soon in Canada INSHALLAH! Wish all the forum members quick processing and settlement.

Dear Seniors,

I need help and guidance regarding the PCC from Pakistan. As I live in Saudi Arabia since my childhood, so I have only lived in Pakistan back in year 2000 for more than 6 months. I was 18 then. But Pakistani Police are creating fuss, they say only blood relation can take the PCC where as I have no blood relation in Pak as we are all Saudi based, then when thy agreed they want a letter from Higher official and stamped, I have sent though and also sent the email copy which I rcvd from LVO. Now its sat- sunday, lets see what will they do on monday. I am concerned if they still didnt issue, then what options do I have? Can I apply thru Pakistani embassy in Riyadh? Please help if any one can.

Hi All,

My DD was paid out on 4th July and I received PER on 8th August 2014 but have not heard back anything after that. The ECAS status also has remained the same i.e. "we received your application for permanent residence on May 7, 2014". Looking at the spreadsheet applicants whose applications were received in 2nd and 3rd week of May or even in some cases June applicants have received medical requests in the past 1 month or so.
Should I now be contacting the London visa office to inquire about my application status or has anyone else in the timeline already contacted and heard back from them. Please advise.
