I respect efforts that are being done by Mish and Zia Bhai , to make this meeting a memorable event , with the objective that this will serve as a kick off meeting / launching pad for our new life in Canada , we are gathering to built lasting respectful relationship , that has to be transferred to generations - Insha Allah

To be realistic. I will suggest

Mish and Zia Bhai to decide menu , get an estimate from Lavish- (Including Waiters Tip etc) inflate / increase this cost by 10% , and circulate per head contribution , and every one must act by depositing his / her share of contributions well ahead of meeting.

This is very important for every ones dignity , and in respect of our organizers



Excess collection as per practice goes to waiters.

Any decent restaurant in Pakistan will never cost less than Rs.1200 to Rs.1600/ per head - (CAD 17/), weather it is buffet or its Ala Carte

Hi,

First of all, heartiest congrats to everyone who have received positive updates. Regarding my case, I have finally received my passports with visa stamps along with two copies of COPR each for myself and my wife (one having pic and the other without pic - they returned the 2nd pic).
There is one big decision I need to make for which I need valuable input from you guys. I have just got a tempting job offer from one of the largest companies based in Saudi Arabia. This job is 'once-in-a- lifetime' opportunity. What are my options? Definitely, I would not trade-in PR with this job. What are the landing requirements? Can I make a short trip to Canada or do I need to stay there for some time? Can I, in anyway, avail both these opportunities together?

Juggling life decisions could be even more stressful than handling the consequences of one!
I tend to think that the confusion we get entangled with is merely in our heads !!

Getting straight into the subject, I think it would be good to consider the new post ONLY if it would help you financially in your life in Canada. Hopefully, after doing your maths, the decision would be easier

I visited the AUH VO today and was told that the process has not been completed i.e visas have not been stamped yet and they were unable to confirm how long it would take. I plan to email London VO to chase. Helpful if Soundless, Canadian and Navali can post submission dates.

This is really strange...when did u submit it passport? Did they mention any reason for not stamping the visa yet? Did u try to ask the reason for all this delay? This is totally insane.....

I would request Stranger friendly to please decide the menu and calculate, as suggested by Msaeed

Or

Let make it for Weekend Buffet at Lavish for 4th October, so Stranger we don't have to go in hectic procedures of calculations

I just sent email to London VO...let's see what reply they give...all in fact should send emails to LVO now to get the updates as we can't keep passports away with them for so long...really bad

I have an humble request from the forum members...please open some new threads for all your parties and get-togethers as you are just putting so many pages with party menu n irrelevant discussions which should not be discssued on this thread which is vey helpful and source of information for canada visa applicants rather than party discussion....

Did u try sending CSE to LVO to ask about this? This is very long delay...even they are delaying PPs return for so long and unnecessarily...

Tomorrow my 3 weeks would get completed (since PPR1), as they say in PPR1 email that LVO would send step 2 instructions (PPR2) within 6 weeks (which would be completed on Oct 07) - even so I'd send a CSE on Sep 25 (if I don't get PPR2)........what do you suggest, should I wait till then OR it'd be better to send a CSE now.

I got on 26 august. send my passport 3rd sept and deliverd on 4th sept.

If you used TCS, then 21 days..........if you used VAC (Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad) then it shouldn't take more than 1 to 1.5 week..........
