Hello good people of the Canadian immigration forum.

When your passport is requested, can you only post your passport to the embassy, or can you take it directly there and drop it in?

Cheers Everybody!

What does the letter say? normally they do not accept hand delivered mail, has be mailed to them. Follow the instructions. Also, remember to make a copy of the letter before sending it so you have it as proof.

Hey

Actually we havnt had it requested yet, but we are just preparing ourselves for when it happens. Is it pretty standard that they ask for it to be posted; or has anyone ever taken it directly to the embassy.

Thanks

Yes you can take it directly to the Canadian High Commission in London, once you have received your PPR.

Many people in the London UK thread have taken theirs direct as it's alot quicker than waiting 8-10 weeks to get your passport mailed back to you.

When you drop off the passport you are handed a receipt acknowledging that they have received it and that your visa/passport will be ready to collect 2 weeks later.

They are only open on Thursdays between 2-3pm, but your letter/email will tell you all that.
