I am expecting an interview request letter from london any day now and was wondering, how long is it usually between the interview request and the interview date? Answers from anywhere would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

Well I think it depends on the office. I think it was 6 weeks in our case and we are dealing with delhi. I have seen some have 30 days. I could be wrong but I think it will be atleast 30 days

Hey, it's almost over for you!

I am going through the POS office and I saw at around May this year that I had an interview scheduled for September 14. However, I hadn't received my letter until the Friday before my interview. I have tried on multiple occasions contacting the office for instructions about me interview and was never successful until the week before my interview.

So ya, I think it really depends on the efficiency and level of customer service from the VO.

Don't forget to KICK A$$ at your interview :D

There was a thread floating around of this a few months ago and I *think* everyone who had interviews in London had them scheduled something like 6 months out... I remember thinking how crazy it was to wait that long and being glad my hubby applied to his place of birth and not to his place of residence (London)... It seemed that they were Very likely to interview non-citizens and we'd likely still be in the process...

Hope I'm wrong on this one, but sorry if I'm not...

I dont know they are gonna ask me, i just think thats the next step for my application. They requested more docs from me which I sent so now just waiting to hear back. I am feeling really negative about the application though and I think an interview is best case scenario, worst case, rejection! We applied as conjugal which I now know is the hardest to prove. Feeling bad :(

We got our interview request letter by email 3 weeks before the interview date, which since my husband does not live in the country that processes PR visas for his area, didn't leave much time to make plans. We never got an actual letter, which I blame on the poor postal service in Nigeria.

Our first application was conjugal. After we were asked for more info, (some which was rediculous) we were advised by our agent to withdraw and re-apply when we were married. I do however wonder sometimes if we would have been approved if we sent in extra stuff. Let me know how it goes. Just remember that you are fortunate that they didnt' reject right away and you were given a chance to provide more info :) so I think it's a positive thing :)

Thankyou for your positivity! I will let you know. Currently just waiting waitint waiting. Its driving me nuts! We have been toying with the idea of withdrawing and getting married now instead of later. We are also worried that if we get rejected and then get married and apply again that they will think its a fake marriage, purely for visa purposes. Its very upsetting. We dont know what to do for the best!

Do not blame the postal system in Nigeria. Interview letters are usually NOT mailed if you have an email address on file. My wife's was emailed to her, and then mentioned that the email will be the only notice she'll get regarding the interview

With the recent changes to the visa application laws (on this site in another post of it's own) i would think (but am not suggesting either way!!!) that for the time being to stick with your current application.

There are plenty of opportunities along the process to 'beef up' your case. You have already provided additional information, IF they call you for an interview then you have another opportunity to answer any concerns they may have. In the very WORST CASE scenario that you are denied, the appeal process, although terribly draining and lengthy, should see you finally approved with a good genuine and strong case.

If i was in your position, is there any possibility to collect information/evidence etc to prove the continuing genuine-ness of your relationship so you can be fully prepared for any news? At the very least, should London not require it then you have kept your mind busy and can have a ritual burning of said collected information!

All will be resolved one day - hopefully soon.

You are right, I should start gathering more stuff together of recent 'proofs' just in case. I have been thinking negatively and been thinking about starting to fill out forms and gather stuff for a new application.
ARRRRGGHHHHH this whole thing is making me crazy. Its all my partner and I talk about, going round and round in circles.
I think I will go ahead with the current application, i would be too scared to pull it now anyway i think, you never know. And I guess I would always wonder....
Confusing though.
Thanks for your replies!
