Oh my Godness ! I was under the impression that’s it’s only up to 12 months for the whole process ! Now I see people passing one year !! This is so depressing !!! My husband in Abu Dhabi too we applied in May 2018

Sorry let me clear this up This was Feb 2017. My husband was eventually denied in Jan 2018, even though they sent him a pre arrival letter in December. Since then, we applied for an appeal, won in Aug and they requested new medical and criminal records check beginning of Oct.

Had a criminal record from when he previously lived there as PR. They were minor charges, no jail time, and over 12 years ago but they still denied him

No, I guess not as simple according to IRCC.

Patience is definitely key. Hopefully you'll be done in 12 months or less. It's really hard to say. Each application is so different.

Hi,
I had applied for my spouse who is in dubai in jan 2018. July i got a mail saying the paper has been sent to London office. After that i have no news. I am not well due to this reason i applied for a visit visa on oct 5th for my husband. For visit visa also i have not go any update the last update was they have received the online application. I am really worried. Dont know what to do i this situvation. People are saying if i go back to india my sponsorship will get cancelled.
