In response to my CSE, LVO (DRD) replied yesterday that my file is undergoing routine background checks. Really concerned regarding significant delay in processing of my application since it has been almost 1 year since PER date. No MR yet

My APP received on 22 December 2014.
My Category is 4214.
My visa office is LVO.

My Visa officer is DRD. I sent an email to LVO regarding the update of my case. I received a respose from DRD that

Your application is in process or waiting to be reviewed by an immigration officer. No further action is required by you at this time.

Our office will contact the applicant when a decision has been made or if further information is required. Immigration decisions and information requests are sent by post or email to the addresses provided in the application.

I am wondering that now it has been over 1 year and my file is not reviewed by immigration visa officer. Will they take 1 more year to make the decision on my case. I m worried. Please let me know know .

Dear Tahir,

At least they have touched your file and opened your file and this is also good news that now they are working upon your file and conducting routine background checks, otherwise there are other poor chaps whose files are not touched at all and still in waiting list or in queue to be reviewed by an officer. Ensure that your employer answers correctly if contacted about your jobs and duties that you have mentioned in your reference letter, otherwise already people who got this type of encounter are facing troubles with LVO since LVO have doubted about the genuineness of their case.

Need your advise on PPR request.

1. Approximately how much time is it taking for DRD to issue PPR request after medicals.
2. Can I submit my passport separately in another country and my family passports in another country, or all have to go at once to VFS? I am based in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

Hi,
Now a days DRD is taking 2 months to issue the PPR from the date of meds.
I suggest you to submit all your passports at one place. Don't confuse the visa office by submitting the passports at different places.

I received PPR on 12 Jan and submitted on 14 Jan at VFS, Jeddah.
Thanks to all for their support.

Dear All,

I am done with medical and waiting for PPR from LVO. I am alone working in KSA and my wife and child r in India and never traveled to KSA. While coming to KSA in jan 2016, i brought passports of family members to submit for visa after i get PPR.

so, does all family members need to be present in vfs while submitting passport? or only principal applicant enough ?

does VFS take any finger prints? during submission of passport
