I sent an email to Ottawa yesterday to know where my file is being processed, it's been 24 hours but I didn't even receive a confirmation email, is this the right address?

Yes it is. It often takes a couple of days before they respond.

Is it safe to say that 99% of people ( who do not go into secondary security) are getting PPR between 160 and 200 days from London? Like around 5.5 months to just before 7 months? I don't see anyone beyond 7 months on here unless they are in secondary security.

what do you mean by secondary security? it's been over 8 months for me, and I am not in IP2 since over a month.

Did you order notes and find out why you are stuck? Some people go into secondary security and that will delay the application by 3 to 6 months. Not everyone goes into secondary security. It depends on nationality and visits to 'certain' countries.

For people who do not go into secondary security, the security pass is more of a formality. The ones who go into secondary/deep security are the ones who actually go into security checks with Canadian Intelligence agency. They do not have the resources or the manpower to put every single applicant into deep security checks. So only people who are flagged in their system go into security checks. Common reasons for being flagged are:-

1 - Citizen or resident of certain countries.
2 - Past military or police service
3 - Past government job
4 - Visit to certain countries.

Citizens or residents or visits to certain countries with unstable governments or civil war or states harboring terrorism are the ones who are at risk of going to into secondary/deep security.

Got a chance to speak again with CIC and to my wonder, since the day my file was transfered to LVO, no one has even bothered to touch the application. As per agent, the status same for last two months and eligibility check is yet to be done by an officer in LVO. Neither I received the RPRF yet ... progressing in 5th month ... Waiting for GCMS ...

I believe the confirmation email is simply acknowledge receipt of your email which would be an automated response email. Thereafter, they'll then send a response. From my own experience, I have sent two emails to Ottawa and i got a response back within 3 to 5 days. London office seems quite the opposite for me though. I would suggest you call the Ottawa office if there hasn't been any response to your email after a couple of days.

Also i hope you know you have to fill the below information below in the body of your email and include your application number in the subject.

While my case is not much helpful to measure your time frame as mine is a transfer case from Ottawa, I just got an approval notice this morning in MyCIC (I sent my passport copy to London office on 7th Aug.)

My return tracker is not yet activated though.

oh okay. my suggestion would be to send it during Ottawa business hours. I once observed that i did not get a confirmation as well during close of business hours. Not sure if that's the reason, but just a suggestion.

Hello Nidhi. Good to see you on here. I had put you on the watch list on the tracker since your AOR is around the same time as me and we are both based in UAE.

Only by ordering notes will you know when you application has moved to London VO. I think you are in the same stage as me. Your passed your analyst eligibility A11.2 and awaiting " officer review". How long it will take is anyone's guess but hopefully we will get it in the next 2 months or so.

Hello John and Seggie. Checked my profile right now. There's a status update-

In review of additional documents- "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded" I havent provided anything. The status before this was- We do not need any additional documents.

And in Background check- "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". The status before this was Not Applicable. As far as I know, its been NA since AOR although we havent checked the status everyday.

Any inputs on what this means in terms of process and timelines? Thanks.

Did you get PPR? My file has also been transferred to a local visa office in June 2017.

Still waiting. Dont know when my file was moved to the London visa office.
