Did your background check change to "in progress"? Or was it NA?

Please pray for us to get our PPR this May ..

Hi all.

I am Dec (30th) AOR and a Pakistani applicant. I am confused after my call to CIC. At what stage does the file go to the LVO? I called up Ottawa office and they told me things are in order and it is in normal processing time as well so I should wait a little longer.

My file was still at Ottawa and had not been sent to the LVO designated for Pakistani applicants. Although my medicals have been passed and my additional documents request as well, both in January. My BG changed to in process end of March. So all this is happening at the Ottawa office. at what stage shall the file be sent to the LVO? When its passed and only for PPR request initiation?

Thanks in advance!

Why are you worried bro? If your status is BG in process, then its just a matter of time for issuance if PPR in shaa Allah! It doesn't matter whether your file is in LVO or Ottawa :D

Yes you will in shaa Allah :)
By the way, what is your profession?

is there any way that my application will be transferred to London VO? I'm working in Dubai but as I've seen in some forum due to huge applications files up in ADVO, some have been transferred to other VO.. any thought?

I didn't received yet FT after first AOR more than a month ago...

you can try to send an email to London VO asking your UCI or your application status then wait for their answer
what i mean is just ignore CIC answer and contact LVO directly like you already kow its you VO

Hi RezJay,

You have to wait for six month which means until June 30 (as your AOR is 30 Dec). If you don't get any udpate until then, you can contact LVO about the status. In my experience, it is useless and you won't get any status update if you try to contact them before 6 months.

BG check is the last process carried out by CIO in Ottawa (in your case). If BG is passed then CIO will make their decision and forward it to LVO. Visa Office is only responsible to handle your Passport so they will send you PPR request once they have received decision from CIO. I hope this helps.

I've reached the same conclusion as well with the help of some other members on this forum. It seems the LVO will only be responsible for PPR and handling.

Thanks for your input. Appreciate it!
