My application will reach 5 months next week.
I believe October AOR's are currently being processed.

From your timeline, your PPR is around the corner.
How did you confirm that your VO was Ottawa?
I was of the opinion that applications are sent to the local VO's for background checks.

I requested for GCMS note in January, which I received in February. From the note I realised that my file was transferred to VO Ottawa on 29th October. Nothing was done on my application from October 29th till 22nd January when my GCMS note was generated.

I think London VO processes application faster though as people that had similar AOR as mine and were interviewed in London got their PPR since January.

I am not sure if all applications are sent to local VO for background check

Cool stuff, I haven't requested GCMS notes, however I had a personal interview at Canada house 3 weeks ago during which the visa officer made me understand that my file was been processed in London.

There were a range questions but I believe the main reason for the interview was to ascertain whether my work experience aligned with my chosen NOC.

I may also have been chosen randomly for an interview because 2 additional visa officers who were in attendance were been trained by the visa officer conducting my interview.

OK, what was your NOC?

Were you told when decision will be made with regard to your application.

I know of someone that attended the interview in December and was told he should get a response within a month. I am not sure the exact time he got his PPR but he already has.

No, the visa officer didn't give me a timeline within which to expect passport request though he hinted that the outcome of the interview was positive.
