Did you sent the passports on 22 Aug ? And recieved notification on 22 October?
hi. Yes all our passports came with the counterfoil attached. Maybe she (your wife) doesn’t require the visa stamp as she’s British

31st August my passport was received at IRCC . Today 24th October counterfoil has been generated on the profile.
Yet to receive VFS notification.
So yes took me exactly 8 weeks!

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xxx has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, London on 2022/10/25.
Hoping to receive the passport in a day or two as counterfoil has been generated in the profile when I checked just now.
My Timeline for submission
18th Sept - Document received by VAC London
20th Sept - Document received by IRCC london
25th October - The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xx has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, London
25th October - The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xxx has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, London

Congrats! I do really hope that they pick up the pace; 8-10 weeks is too long.
May I ask what visa type that you applied to? I wonder whether the stamping processing time is dependent on the visa type or whether it's the same for all visa types.
Mine is express entry PR.
I think they are delaying the temporary residents . But for PR it's all same
Yes it seems so. Do you know what what is the stamping processing time for temporary residents? Is it 8-10 weeks or more?
Hard to say because yours is the first visitor visa I came across to have received a PPR. There were a few student visa couple of months back that got passports in a couple of weeks
