Hey guy im from Toronto Canada i submitted my application to sponsor my wife who is in Kabul Afghanistan back in December 2019 all paperwork is done she got the medical done in Kabul Afghanistan in Jan 2020 and then biometrics done in Pakistan Feb 2020 then it was sent to London Visa office March 2020 no response after that other than medical received shows in Jan 2020 on timeline and file was received in London office on timeline in July 2020 I emailed them they gave generic response in July 2020 i ordered gcm notes in Aug it came in Sept nothing new just said she passed criminal so now its oct when can we expect a response ? or pre arriving letter anytime? Thanks family sponsorship btw for spouse

Each visa office has processing priorities. However, no application will be purposely kept on hold. An average application takes 8-9 month to process.

As per IRCC's annual 2019 annual report it takes 8-9 months for an application to process.

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Subsequent to this, IRCC also published the evaluation of Express Entry upon the completion of 5 years of express entry in May 2020. A lot of recommendation have been made in it.

I called to IRCC and agent infomed me that my application transferred from Nova Scotia to London UK visa office therefore, she cannot see status once the file moves to respective visa office.. Just wanted to know, when application moves to visa office? Is it after eligibility recommened passed? How can we reach out London office? Thanks

Not necessarily..they move the file due to workload distribution and that can happen during any stage of an application..u can contact LVO through webform or through email..

Can’t say for sure in these days..my application is in process since January 2019 but my issue is that my application is under comprehensive security screening..
