I have just received a message from CIC saying that my employment letter is fraudulent. they have given me 30 days to submit relevant documents otherwise my application may be rejected.
Can anyone help me understand why they think the letter is fraudulent?? how does CIC verify experience letters?
You are lucky that you have been given the chance to clear whatever doubts that your case officer have concerning your app.
So, what they are saying is that your employment letter is fraudulent. Which means they are not saying the company doesn't exist but, the letter you have provided was not issued by the company to you.
Basically, they mean you do not work for the company and you forged the letter claiming you do.
What evidence did you provide as work experience apart from the reference letter?
Have any other applicant applied using the same company in the past or currently? Most times cic have list of all companies that applicants claim as experience in their system, there might have been an information mismatch or when your employer was contacted no one could identify you as an employee.
I suggest you try and provide the following;
1. New dated reference letter.
2. letter from your hr indicating that you work with the company and validating that they issued you a previous letter dated 00/00/0000.
3. Job offer letter.
4. Business card of as many colleagues that can vouch for you as possible. If they can also include letters stating that they work with you this will be fab.
5. Pictures of you in front of the company, inside the company, and at your work space. Include pictures that if you are not an employee you will not be able to take.
6. Pay slips and bank statement showing salary deposits.
7. If you come from a country were paying taxes is a thing then submit your income tax.
8. Your employee ID, and any official letter you might have received during your employment with this company. Outdated letters signed by the same person that signed your reference letter.
9 and more evidence as you see fit.
You will need a cover letter when submitting your evidence. So write a letter explaining all documents submitted. Do not forget to be nice when writing your letter.
Also you should apply for your gcms notes if you haven't.you have 30 days you might get your notes before the 30days.
I hope this gets resolved and you get your PPR soonest!
All the best!
