and as a proof of ties i can only show my wife and parents, they are in Pakistan so i will try to convince VO that i will return to my home after studies abt money i will try to pay 1st semester fees and than i will show only second semester fees and living cost which is 18000 CD or 12000GBP from my own a/c ...so no sponsor
I applied last year in July at CHC London and it took four months for my visa to be approved. I would suggest applying earlier than June if you can, just to be on the safe side. Sometimes you're lucky and your visa is approved quickly, other times you're unlucky and you can have an agonising wait. I remember August and September last year being pretty torturous for me.

I was born in England and I am a mature student. I have an arts background and I applied to study an arts diploma at Selkirk College. I applied to CIC London in June 2011. I made a really stupid mistake on my application form, so they sent back my whole application. I re-applied in mid-July 2011. My mistake cost me 6 weeks and I went straight to the back of the queue. I got my documents and passport back in the third week of August. My college start date was 6th September. In early September I e-mailed CIC London to tell them that my college was willing to extend my admission deadline by a few days. By mid-September my extended college admission deadline expired and I thought that it was all over and I was really down. I received my Letter of Introduction in early November. I was suprised (but very glad) to receive my Letter of Introduction, as I had expected a rejection because my course had already started in September. The most important things I learned when applying were: 1. Apply as early as possible. Every extra day counts. 2. CIC London will not answer any query about your application status until 10 weeks have passed. 3. Do enquire after 10 weeks. After 10 weeks they will be super helpful and kind. 4. Don't give up hope.

I would need ur help regarding the return envelope. In the checklist, it mentions "Self Addressed Envelope (no stamps required)". Is it a pre-paid envelop or just an envelope with my address printing on it?

Re. Pre-paid envelope.
I noticed the no stamps thing as well. I applied last year and I swear they wanted pre-paid envelopes. The rules may have changed since last year. I think they were quite specific last year about it being a pre-paid special envelope.
I went to the post office last year and bought a C5 pre-paid envelope. It was a silver-grey colour and the material was similar to a strong plastic bag. I think it was a C5 pre-paid special delivery envelope - that could take 500g of weight.
I think they had next day written on them. Again, I'm not 100% sure. I'm re-applying so I have to buy some myself and I'm unsure if they mean pre-paid or self addressed envelope.
