Re: CHC London - Recent refusals due to lack of points (below 67)

Hi eemmoo1

Once the file has been reviewed by CIC and initial screening is done at VO, it is highly unlikely to get a refusal based on shortage of points (less than 67). This is my personal opinion. Have you come across such a case or is there a specific reason for raising this query.

By the way you have mentioned that you received the 6 to 12 months letter. I just wanted to know if any VO (other than London VO) has sent across this letter. Any idea? Reason I am asking this is that applicants (for Buffalo VO) whose status changed to “In-process” and line added “we received your application and started processing on xxx” during March and April 2012 have now started receiving medical request. I haven’t come across a single case from London VO where above mentioned status applicant started receiving MR. :(

I hope London VO would start to send us the MR soon as well or may be their quota for visas has already exhausted. May God bless and help us all.

I have not come across any applicant from other visa offices apart from London who have received 6 to 12 months wait letter. This story of 6 to 12 months is very vague at the moment. Whether they have have calculated 67 points at this stage before issuing 6 to 12 months letter is still a mystery?

Have you considered CAIPS, I am thinking of ordering it during July 2012. I think you should consider ordering CAIPS notes (it only cost CAD $ 5). One of my friend who shares almost the same timeline and NOC code as you got a MR during February 2012 (he did not get this 6 to 12 month letter) and was not checking his ecas regularly so I cannot say when was the status changed to in process. Good luck.

I think the following should answer your query;

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pakistan-application-forum-t19839.33210.html

As mentioned in 6-12 months letters "subject to admissibility checks", please read para from Linkedin discussion, "Selection requirements and the point score are not part of the admissibility checks. The admissibility checks refer to medical, criminal, war crimes, human rights and national security issues.

The selection requirements refer to assessing the applicant against the selection standards for their particular class, for Federal Skilled Workers education, experience, age, official language proficiency, etc. and as a result generating the points score".

But this is all based on discussion. No solid evidence or case reference?

I agree. By the way i also cam eacross another fact that the months mentioned in the letter from London VO are different for MI1 and MI 2
MI1 applicants are recieving 6-12 months letter
and MI2 applicants are recieving 6-8 months letter

But what I have observed, for some applicants who got IP with date in Feb or Mar also got Meds/Doc update request. So this means for these applicants they finished points calculation and selection decision. But the ambiguity still remain for those who received 6 to 12 months wait letter.

I think probably it is the case for Buffalo visa office only. Have you come across any applicant from London VO with In Process date of February / March who received MR?
By the way the processing for Buffalo VO is not relevant as in most cases these applicants are already in Canada under valid work permits, but their processing is being done at Buffalo VO.
