I am a UK citizen applying through the London office, married to my partner. What is likely I would have an interview? Are interviews usually for non British Nationals?

Thanks

From what I've seen around the forum you probably will not go through an interview since you're a British national and your partner is Canadian. In fact, your case will probably be completely finalized between 2 - 3 months! Good luck....

Hello nncs

What about non British national, do you have any info on when application is finalized?

Interviews are usually conducted when the IO doesn't believe your relationship is genuine..or if they think you may be inadmissible to Canada..interviews are waived as much as possible..

britincanada: that's not always necessarily true. I know a couple of people who were invited for an interview at London and when they walked in, the office said right away that he/she believes the relationship is genuine but would like to ask few question about the person's background, where they studied/worked and what they plan on doing in Canada.

danifry: i'm not sure....what citizenship are you wondering about? it seems that anyone from the Middle East or countries that they are not too familiar with its culture get called for an interview, even though they are convinced of the relationship.......
