When London VO sends requests for Medical or updated PCC to an applicant, is it displayed in his E-cas status ??

Similarly when Medicals or updated PCC have been received by London VO from the applicant, it that too displayed in applicant's E-cas status ??

Dear fellow applicants,

This is my story so far.

I am pre June 2010 applicant. My application was received by Accra V/O in August 2009 , first medical was done in June 2010 .In September 2010 I relocated with my family to the UK from Nigeria and immediately informed the visa office to update my current address, I also informed them of the fact that my wife was pregnant and would be due in May 2011. I got a response from the visa office that as soon as the baby is born, we should add the child to our application( by sending copy of child's passport , 4 passport photographs , C$150 , updated IM008 and IMM5406 and birth certificate of child) .My wife gave birth to the baby in April 2011 and all required documents were sent in June ( delay was as a result of child's passport). We finally got our re-medicals form on 8th of July( 2 weeks after sending documents) including medicals for the new baby. MR was done on 21th July and receipt already sent to V/O. At this point we have not received request for UPDATED PCC.It is really strange this days to receive re-medicals without updated PCC( last PCC was in Jan 2010).

Seniors, please what do you think is happening here?.

Thanks and cheers.

Hi ss1886

Don't rely on ecas much. For some applicants they regularly update there ecas and for majority of others like me CIC never updated the ecas. So if you are really curious to find out whats happening with your application CAIPS/ GCMS is the best option.

Hi ss1886

CAIPS/GCMS are ordered from Ottawa only no matter where your visa office is.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

If you know someone in Canada then you can fill out this form and send it to him/her along with a authorization letter by email and then tell them to fill in there details in the form and then take a printout of this form+authorization letter+$5 check and post is to the address mentioned in the form.

If you don't want to go through this hassle then try visiting these sites where you can order CAIPS/GCMS online.

Hope it helps

You might want to be proactive and get a PCC and send it to them. That's what I didn't do, when the same situation happened to me. They requested my medicals, but no PCC. I thought it wasn't required. My file was almost ready. Then they sent me PCC 6 months later, which delayed my file.

Now with that being said, CIC is terrible for keeping track of file updates. Chances are you proactively send them a PCC, they throw it in your file, forget about it, then they request a PCC when it is your turn to process your file. That's also what happened to me. I sent them my baby's papers proactively, then they requested them around 8 months later.

It's worth being proactive, just don't be so confident it works 100%.

@ ceaser,

I totally agree with you bro, it is only unfortunate that you cannot predict CHC this days, different offices with different Modus Operandi.
We can only hope for the best.

Cheers.

Yes various VO have there own pace of working but timelines may also determined by the applications load and backlog applications in VO.
It best to follow the check list and specified guideline of the specific VO for submitting the application, coz it will avoid any delays in application processing.
Good luck for all in waiting
