Where I am employed (outside of my home country) the processing time for study permit is 10 weeks whereas in my home country (India) it is 2 weeks. So I plan to apply online in India but have following doubts:

1. Is it possible for my application to be processed in India even if I apply online outside from India?

2. does biometrics has to be given in the same country where you apply or is it possible to apply in one country and give biometrics in different country?

1. Online application can be processed anywhere (chosen by CIC)
2. Biometrics can be given to the nearest VAC centre where you live

Yes, myself and many others facing the same issue of applying outside the country. I applied from UAE waiting now in 6th week and many others haven’t received decision even after 10weeks. Current processing time in India is only 2 weeks. You can go on vacation and apply from India, mention country of residence as India only then it will be processed in India. You can cover that in SOP saying you are on vacation in India currently.

You can cover that in SOP saying you are on vacation in India currently.
