Hi All,

I am a newbie in this forum ... :D
Okay, here is my question & hope to get some responses if any of you had/have had the experience ...

My employer applied (sent package) LMO for me on May 12th and Social Canada received the package on May 14th to initialize my case with a confirmation letter faxed to our company ...

A call was then received on May 27th from Social Canada to engage conversation with my employer ...
My employer was out of town actually but he returned the call on 28th & had about 45 mins of "chit chat" to defend the needs of me in the company ...

The agent said would get back to my employer in the following week ...
However, we haven't received any phone call nor a letter from him (agent) since ...

I asked my employer how did the conversation go ... he said he is got the good feeling that Social Canada would grant him LMO ...
Therefore, I am kinda eagerly to know how long it might take for the agent to finalize my case & issue me a LMO ... ?!?!

P.S. On the confirmation letter we received on May 14th says 3 weeks ...

Thank you for helps ...

Re: LMO Timeline in BC 2010 (Subsequent to Immigration Continue ...)

Hopefully I will get my LMO as soon as possible ...
I supposed I will, right?! (Otherwise refusal wouldn't take this long eh ... ?!)

I keep my fingers crossed ...

My another question subsequent to this will be that "does LMO & WP help speeding up my immigration case applied in Apr. 2007" (Old System) ... ?!
I applied skill immigration back in Apr. 2007 in CTOT (Canadian trade Office in Taipei) but came abroad 1st with my wife to BC the same year in July to work with an open work permit ...

As you may well know that under the old system rule, it is very time consuming when processing case, plus with the "SOP" letter update (shown below) I just received from CTOT or CIC (who knows?!) 2 days ago ...
I become really frustrated somehow ...

*************************************** LETTER UPDATE ***************************************

This refers to the application for Permanent Residence which you submitted to this office on Apr, 2007.

The purpose of this communication is to provide you with an update on the progress of your application and to provide information which may assist you.
As you may be aware, Canada changed its selection requirements for Skilled Workers in early 2008. Applications submitted prior to February 28, 2008, are not affected by the changes and will continue to be processed according to the regulations that were in place at the time the application was submitted.

However, we would also like to let you know that applications submitted after the changes came into effect on February 28 2008 are entitled to be given priority processing.

Please be assured that we will continue to gradually process all applications which were submitted prior to February 28 2008 - we are currently reviewing applications which were submitted in January to March 2007.

However, as your application was submitted after that date, we are unable to give you a definite time frame for when your Federal Skilled Worker application might be processed.

These processing times are based on the average processing times in our office for previous years. Processing times are an estimate only and may change from time to time. As a general guideline, it is likely that we will be requesting documents for the next set of applications to be reviewed, sometime in the next 12 months.

Again, please be assured that you will be contacted in due course and will be given sufficient time to submit further documents.

In the meantime, if your mailing or email address changes, please ensure that you advise us accordingly.

If, at any time, you wish to withdraw your application, please inform our office in writing.

Thank you for your interest in Canada. We appreciate your continued patience.

*************************************** UPDATE LETTER END **********************************************

Here is my plan and what I am going to do ...
Once I receive LMO will apply WP right away but update my situation to CTOT in the meantime for my PR application ...

However, do I update to CPC Vegreville & CTOT as soon as I obtain LMO or after I obtain WP ... ?!

Thank you for your advise ... !!!

:)

 ...

I got refusal LMO today and that took 4 weeks for assessment too ..

Reasons:

1. Not enough wage.

2. Not enough effort in advertising.

Gotta talk to employer to see anything can be done here for another relog ...

Sigh ...

:'(

My situation is, I have applied for a LMO with the same employer, my second time, and it's an entry level job.

After the application i got a letter that the processing time is 3-5 weeks. It's been 5 weeks today. My employer hasn't got any calls and gave them a call yesterday but they told him to wait. Is this a good or a bad sign? And anyone in the same situation?

Hopefully your employer already got a call by now or else ...
