My job was advertised for 2 months before the application was made....my employer has lots of positions to fill so she keeps her ads running for long periods of time.

My Employer had filed my LMO docs for Ontario on Jan 19 2012.

Can any one suggest me how long will it take for the application to get processed.

Thanks in advance

Hi lucas
It sounds they wont let you file if the website is down.the information on the add was visible to every one in my case.i belive there wont be any negetive responce from them.

I thought nobody couldn't apply or advertise during job bank down because it was not possible to upload or print out. You might believe other sources could prove that you have advertised in Job bank minimum 14 days, but HRSDC not only requires 14 days, but also need to prove some details of job.

The advertisement must include:
•the company operating name;
•job duties (for each position, if advertising for more than one vacancy);
•wage range (i.e. an accurate range of wages being offered to Canadians and permanent residents). The wage range must always include the prevailing wage for the position – see “wage rate”;
•the location of work (local area, city, or town); and
•the nature of the position (i.e. project based, or permanent position)

When you get interview, you'd better to tell them about happening to job bank and hope you to get additional documents request, not just reject

Hi again
Thx for your reply lukas
Well the employer given the recruting work to a forigen labours recruting agent in albreta who is in the industry for several years.
As you mentioned they clearly added the information like company name and address contact info, job duties,wages/hour,location,job nature,benifits etc..
A quick qustion do the HRSDC demand for an interviwe to give a+ve LMO???

Oh yes Service canada will contact your employer and it affects enormously to make decision whether positive or negative

I have sent my application on 29th Feb to vancouver office and got file number on 9th March.

Did u get file number?

Am not shure about it...is the NOC is a file number???
He must be having that.. If a calculation according to your progress. He posted the add by 2nd week of feb...
Do you know roughly how long it gonna take to get the +ve responce..by the way my job comes under the short list( under 32 jobs)
Regards

Hi Everyone
My boss applied for an LMO before Xmas 2011. We did not get any answer then he called a number asking what was going on. He got the file number...My question is that can we do something with this number online? I mean checking the process or something. Now is April 2012 and still nothing.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I am in SK too small town in saskatoon area.

File number is not a combination of passport no, it's assigned number after you applied to SC. Usually, SC will send you by mail, fax or email within 10 days. If you didn't get it within 10 days, you'd better to contact SC to appeal your case.

I applied on 29th Feb and got file number on 9 th March by mail. it was assigned on 2th March, but still no news yet.

I saw a person who applied in vancouver office on 6th Feb and got file no on 23rd Feb and got LMO on 4th April, actually decided on 31st March.

I hope to get result soon according to order of file number
