NOC 2174 how long it will take to complete LMO applied on Jun 25
The average at the moment seems to be about 5 weeks. I've seen a couple of 8's and one or two 3's though. The "4-8 weeks" that immigration lawyers always quote seems to be about right.

It obviously depends a lot on where you apply from and whether there are any problems with your application / follow-up questions from Service Canada.

Looks like you should get an answer soon - can you please let us know when you do? Good luck!!

In my case the processing time was 6 weeks.

Lawyer sent LMO application through fax on June 8th. Positive LMO received (through fax) on July 20th.

Good luck!

Mine was 4 weeks! Usually in all the cases it comes in 4-6 weeks.

My employer just called to Service Canada, my application was faxed on June 22nd, but it was only "received" by Service Canada on June 29. They said that the process takes up to 30 business days (roughly 6 weeks without Holidays), they told my employer that we should receive the LMO on August 15th... so sit down and relax....

4 weeks completed not yet received any updates...Feeling bad
You could get your employer to ask Service Canada for a status update.

It probably won't speed anything up, but it might make you feel better if you know that progress is being made.

It has been really slow this summer, probably many resources are on vacation. This week they contacted my employer to ask few questions, so I am positively waiting to receive good news this week.

FYI, the immigration lawyers who submitted my application asked for an update, and Service Canada told them to expect another 2 weeks (taking us to 6 weeks  )

They said they are giving priority to short-term applications (ie. people applying for a few days only!) and longer term applications are at the bottom of the pile.
My application is for a year.

Hi GoldenArm,

Whether you got your LMO approval.
Those who applied on June 20th got LMO approval positive. I am expecting this week positively.
But its almost 9 weeks. So there is no exact time limit for getting LMO approved.

Today is 7 weeks since the application was filed. We were originally told 3-5 weeks, then 4-8, then 30 business days. All of those targets have been missed.

I don't understand how these things take so long, or why they can't give an accurate time estimate. It's pathetic really.
I work on multi-billion dollar engineering projects and we can estimate how long things will take, to the day in some cases. And if we overshoot our estimates, there are consequences. There is no incentive for the Immigration department to do their work in a timely manner, so they don't.

I don't care how they dress it up and what excuses they offer, it's basically just slackness and incompetence. There can be no other reason.
