Hi everyone,

This is just something that I was wondering, but I'll go ahead and explain my situation first before I consider actually doing it. (not sure if I am in the right section of the forum)

I am a citizen of Belize, and I was working in the U.S for the past year. My company is expanding to Canada, and has offered me my same position as General Manager in Canada. They have already filed an LMO in the province of Alberta and I am waiting for a pending approval.

Before I start working in Canada, I wanted to go to and visit my friends in Toronto Ontario. I was wondering if I can apply for a visa to visit them in Toronto first, then afterwards head to Edmonton, Alberta to work. Or would my name appear in the Canadian Immigration's system more than once?

with potential LMO in process - its evident that you are seeking entry to canada - hence no harm in applying for trv

Thank you Terki.

Another question that just came to my mind was. Since I am in the U.S. would I need to go back to my home country, Belize, to apply for the TRV? or would I be able to apply for it through a consulate in like New York?
