hello everyone!

i just need your ideas on this. My LMO will expire on July 30, 2012. Yet, I'm still here in Philippines. I already have my Visa and Polo approval. Question: will the expiration of my LMO affects my work soon? I mean, is there a chance to go there even if it expire?

thank you

why are you still waiting for it to expire? In my opinion, Once it expired, you will need to apply for a new one before you can enter the country

As far as i know, although you have exoired LMO you can still travel im canada because you have your visa already

If you have the temporary resident visa, it means you already applied for the work permit, which is what you have to do before the LMO expires...so you are fine. The VO must have given you a letter to present at the border, and your work permit will be processed when you reach the first point of entry in Canada.

thanks for the clarification guys sorry for the confusion =)

thanks guys. so there's no need to worry about the expiration as long as you already have the visa... but then, i don't know exactly if I have already the working permit. I'm from agency and they didn't tell me if it's ok. But I think, it's ok since they told me to just wait for the plane ticket...

When you got your temporary resident visa, did you also get a letter to give to the immigration officer in Canada? When you present this letter at the border, they will give you the work permit.

Do you have your visa stamped on your passport? Your work permit will be issued to you upon your entry into Canada. With your passport and visa should be a letter of instructions. You will show the officer at your Port of entry this letter of instructions together with your passport.

Senorita, what letter is that? i didn't receive any letter from the immigration officer. Maybe there's a letter but it was course through the agency I think.

jobseeker, yes, the visa is already there on my passport. still waiting for any instructions from the agency though.

You mean the letter you're supposed to show the officer is still with your agency? Well just make sure that you have it in your possession when you come.

Ask the agency for the letter, it should have come with your visa. I don't remember exactly but it will say you are approved for a work permit and also give instructions the immigration officer to issue you a work permit. So you should have it with you when you arrive Canada.

I'm not sure if it's with them. They're the one who keep and organize my documents. As what others told me, they will give instructions once the plane ticket is ready and days before the departure. I think they had the letter, I hope so.
