I need some help here:

The LMO exception R205(c)(ii) C44 "Post-doctoral fellows awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) and award recipients"
[as in FW 1 Temporary Foreign Worker Guidelines 5.38 D] gives me headaches.
If I have a research award that provides more than 10000$ for one academic year and an invitation by a canadian institution to do research in the field I already did some work on, but I haven't graduated from medschool yet, would I still file under C44?

"Research award recipients paid by foreign institutions Holders of academic research awards of a foreign country and invited by Canadian institutions to conduct their activities in Canada, but who are supported by their own country, are also eligible.
Note: Persons who are doing self-funded research may meet the definition of business visitor and thus be eligible to work without having to obtain a work permit. There should be no displacement of Canadian or permanent resident workers, nor should there be any employeremployee relationship. In addition, the individual or the Canadian institution must not receive remuneration for the research."

It would speed up things!

This source seems to imply that it works:
[...] copies of your curriculum vitae and doctoral degree, if applicable, and [...]

[www]docstoc.com/docs/3750984/Suggested-Sample-Letter-of-Invitation-for-Research-Award-Recipients#

it is just really hard to find anything about this on the internet, cic.gc.ca, the manuals and even the IRPA Q/A files.

Hi Sihar,

I'm sorry I have question for you, not an answer.

I've been accepted for a research award at a Canadian University (I'm not a PhD candidate) and I need to apply for the C44 section 5.38D. How do I get to this from the eligibility questionnaire?

I've tried almost every answer on the questionnaire but nothing seems to bring about this result.

Your help is appreciated :)
