Hi all,

I'm in India,
I got my Visa(W1), LMO recently.
But the problem is, the Employer who sponsored my LMO, Visa backed out now. :(

Having no options left, I'd decided to search for an employer who can sponsor my new LMO, and I have few questions about this.

Hopefully if I have a 2nd genuine LMO
1. Can i use the same TRV(W1-visa) to enter Canada if I have genuine LMO from 2nd Employer?
2. If yes, where do I confirm this ?

On my visa , i did't see anything about the first employer, so I'm assuming visa can be used.

Help me please.
Thanks in Advance.!

you may not see it in your visa stamped but the embassy/ consul has a data record of who sponsor you for a work visa. one thing we don't know if your employer bother to report the matter to the cic that they are aborting hiring of the approved tfw definitely naming it.

if and when you will have another employer with an lmo and you will process again papers, address the matters to the embassy so you will be given a precise advise of what to do with your existing w-1 visa on the passport.

You need to apply for a new work permit. The work permit you currently have is tied to your first employer and it's illegal to work for a different employer using this work permit.

Hi Seniors,

The replies given by seniors mean that
->The TRV foil on the Passport, needs to be changed if i find a new employer ? It has 22 mths validity left.

Apologies for my ignorance, What I'm assuming, needed by a foreign worker to enter Canada is
1.LMO+WP (Tied to a particular employer)
2.Temporary Resident Visa (TRV, a doc which says i can just enter Canada, irrespective of employer)
Correct me..

Thanks in Adv.
Cheers!

...we all wish it work that way just like a stamped visitor visa that at any given time you can be in and out in Canada. but then I don't think it will be like that for the reason as you landed at the airport in canada the final identification they will do is to stamp date of arrival in canada in your passport and verifying what visa you are holding. if it's W -1 will subject to report at the immigration right there and they will ask for the copy of your LMO, identifying you and your employer for authentication then the actual working permit will be issued good for one year.

i think the CIC have their guidelines on aborted case of employer backed out after issuance of trv. your situation is already happening long before. now if you want to testing how a trv work without employer, share it to us if becomes successful.

Good day everyone. Well this is my first day and my first post here in this forum. i am very troubled with my condition right now. Me and my wife were given a positive LMO by our employer and we were able to secure Temporary Resident Visa and WP application in the Canadian embassy in Paris france. The thing is, after we resceive the TRV and the approval, our employer told us to wait until she will give us the go signal to canada. We waited for 3 months already, but still no news from Her. We found out that she did not get the bidding for the place where we will be working (supposedly) and told us that she cant allow is to enter Canada at the moment since she cannot give us the HOURS entitled for us and she is allowing us to find another emploey. The thing is, we already lost our Jobs here in Spain becuse of the Visa stamped on our passports denied us to renew our work contracts here. My question is, could we still go to canada and present the TRV plus the LMO at the POE? or in case we can secure new LMO from new employer could we directly fly to Canada and present the new LMO to the immigration officer to get new permit or should we apply for the new WP from outside Canada (in our case, we will be sending our passports and documents again to the Canadian Embassy in Paris to get New TRV and Apply for WP??) Please Help
