Hi everyone,

I am a Dutch citizen who found a job in Canada (Alberta). I have previously worked in Canada under the IEC (1 year OPEN WP) and with a Young Professional Visa (6 months CLOSED WP)
The company I will be working for recently went through an interview with the Canadian government (more like a test) and passed.
The goverment said that they have now pushed the application to the next level and will be processing it for completion. :D
This was mid-February, so how long should it be until the LMO is processed completely?

I read in this forum that it might be possible to speed up the WP process by starting it when entering Canada?
Sending my passport with all the documentation to a European office will take approx 2 months to be processed.
As I am Dutch, I do not need a TRV to enter Canada.
Does this mean I can fly to Canada as soon as I have a copy of the LMO, and get my work permit at the immigration office at the airport?
Also, I have not been asked to do a medical with my previous WP's... How do I know if I should go through one now?

Please advise. Thanks! :)

1. Once you have an approved LMO and the job doesn't require a medical, you can fly to Canada and get your work permit at the port of entry.

Thanks! That is great news! ;D
Do I still need to print and fill out all the papers, or just bring the LMO and the job offer?

Also, does anyone have any idea how long it'll be still? The government said they would push the application to the next level and process it for completion mid-February already...

1. Nope, job contract, LMO, passport, $155.
