For international agreement LMIA-exempt work permits, you need to work under that condition for a year to get the +50 points. So answering "no" and not getting the 50 points right away sounds right.Hi,
I have a question and hope someone can help me. I worked as a skilled worker for one year with a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). After one year, my employer gave me a job offer that is LMIA-exempt due to an international agreement.
Now, on Express Entry profile, there is a question asking:
“Have you worked for this employer with your current work permit for one year?”
Since the one year of work was done with a PGWP, I believe I should answer “No.” However, when I select “No,” the system doesn’t calculate the 50 points for the job offer.
If I answer “Yes,” that answer won’t be accurate, even though my job offer meets all the requirements of a valid job offer.
Could you guide me on how to handle this situation?
The year completed under a PGWP wouldn't count as there was no LMIA based job offer granted at the moment.
