if a canadian employer cannot find a local worker and lmia came into the picture that only a foreign worker could fill in the position, would that employer have to prove that is the case? if that employer said that only that foreign worker could fill in that particular position, what is the procedure for lmia? would that company or employer have to prove that, that foreign worker could fill in that position that no canadian could? how does lmia really work? lets say that a translation company in toronto cannot find an accredited translator for a particular language in the greater toronto area so they place an ad online, but this is where it gets confusing, if that were to be the case how would a company in toronto place that ad if they couldnt find an accredited translator in the greater toronto area? would it be online like on ca. indeed.com or what? what would be the first step if a company in the greater toronto couldnt find an accredited translator and only a foreign candidate would be able to fill in the position? would they place and ad online or would they contact the candidate? what would the company do to hire such foreign worker? what would be the first steps on behalf of that employer? can anyone please tell me. rsvp. thank you.
