Hello All

Am working as a Quality Analyst in a Software Company. Am paid 19.41 CAD Per hour. My employer is ready to help me for LMIA. When i checked with a lawyer he says minimum wage for QA is 26.44 and i should meet that wage.

Please suggest me on what best i can do??

Yes...to obtain the Positive LMIA you have to have minimum wage. Median is better.
Which province, city you are from? it is different by province.

Which province are you located in? This will determine the minimum and median wage. If you aren't even making minimum wage - there is no hope the LMIA will be approved. To have a decent chance of being approved, your company has to be willing to pay you median wage (which is quite a bit higher than minimum wage). If your employer isn't willing to pay you more than they are now - no point applying.

19$ is very less for a Quality Analyst, Atleast that should be above 26$. I am also a Quality Analyst, I make 50$/Hr. Talk to your employer.

you have less than min so LMIA will not approve- see below you need approx 36$/hr as median wage.

Since you're in the GTA, I would be shocked if a minimum wage LMIA for a QA role was approved. I think you need to be making the median wage (e.g. $36) to have any chance of being approved. IMO there are way too many people in the GTA who can do this job for a minimum wage LMIA to be approved. Good luck - I think you have your work cut out for you.

to get an LMIA you need to get a job offer that follows specific requirements.
