LMIA was submitted before the expiration date but expired before having the result

Hi there,

I have submitted an application for in homecare giver in April 2022 (in Quebec) 5 months before LMIA expired. I follow the case and did not hear any update until 28 November 2023. They required an update LMIA which is already expired. I had 2 questions.

1. An update LMIA meaning my potential boss and I have to restart applied for a new LMIA and pay fees 1000 CAD? I think there is difficult for us to do so. Please give me some suggestionsif I can do anything about this ?
