How long is LMIA processing taking these days
I am from ontario Web developer making 50k and my employer is willing to file for an lmia the only problem is my work permit expired today and he wants to get me an lmia
i have 3 months left in canada to restore everything
if he starts the process today how long will it take?

He had got me an lmia in the past which was positive and i applied for p,r but got rejection due to documents being incomplete
can i get an lmia for the second time ?

either ways how long does it take / processing time ?

Processing times really vary. Of course your employer will have to start by advertising the job for a month. So that's one month gone. Once he submits the application - it's really hard to say. It's anywhere from a few weeks to several month (unfortunately most seem to be taking month rather than weeks). Three months is cutting it pretty short - but by all means give it a try. Good luck.

My employer did LMIA and 3 months should be just enough if you start son. One month advertising and say 3-4 weeks to hear from them. For me it took 19 days after advertising.. so altogether 49 days..

which province are you in? and how much money was your employer offering you on the job offer? i am asking about the money because there are 2 types of lmia. High wages and low wages.

FYI - Just because an LMIA falls in the high wage category doesn't mean it will be processed quickly. We've seen lots of high wage LMIA takes months on this forum.
