Still waiting on my answer from CIC about my LMO,
Been nearly 10 weeks now and the only email ive received from them was a request for a National police check from my home country (Australia)
Ive already sent it to them and the waiting continues haha
Is there any Australians, NZ or UK people who have gone through the process?
The company has an approved LMO so its just a case of weather CIC want to approve me individually???
Woukld love some sort of timeline?

Your query is a bit confusing. CIC issues work permits/TRVs etc not LMOs of LMIAs. Is it that you are awaiting the outcome of your work permit application? Your reference to a police check suggests that that may be the case. For processing times for work permit applications from Australia, please see link below.

Ok. Well if you clicked the link in my previous response you'll get an idea of processing times for your country. Typically on the lower end its 1-2 months and 6 months on the upper end so you haven't been waiting long at all yet.

Wow!! 6 months sounds excessive considering how straight forward my application should be.
No criminal convictions, no health problems, skilled trades person with lots of onsite experience in Alberta already.
In theory should just be stamped approved straight up haha.
Thanks for the replys it's good to see someone else's side of it

The time frame is for different visa offices from as low and high as the processing time goes. The processing in essentially the same in most places. Your docs are checked and verified etc. Also remember that there are other applications being processed, not just yours and not just for work permits but TRVs, study permits, residency etc. It does seem long and who knows how involved it gets? It is what it is and we wait. Good luck

Yeah I fully understand that they get swamped with applications, it just sux that even though everything is pre approved, submitted, signed and paid that it still takes such a long time,
But in saying that id rather people that desperately need entry into Canada to be processed before me, I live in Australia so I can handle the wait.
Thanks for you help ButterflyChemist
