Hi Johnny

Applying for multiple work permits in two different locations for the same companie delays the process or not?..
What exactly do you mean?

I mean my company has applied for 4 work permits but in different locations in Alberta , so does it delay the process
Company can apply for LMIA only, applicant applies for WP. But no, it doesn't.

Any news guys...it's been more than 3 months and no call so far....does it take this long...

We're still waiting

NOC 7283, Calgary
Application sent - 15 Sept approx
File number issued and payment taken - 23rd November

Not holding our breath that we'll hear anything before Christmas! Would be great if we did but since everything has taken so long to this point it might be wishful thinking.

Hello there,

I have already received an email from immigration indicating all requirements that I needed to continue my caregiver application. They are requiring me to take the speak test to show my knowledge and skills in care-giving. I just wanted to ask if I still need to take it up since I already have my IELTS and I am an RN in my country. Another is that I have my certificate in care-giving.

Thank you.

Hi folks, I have not been posting on this forum but I have been keeping my eye on certain people applications, just as a heads up on my application. I am from the UK (scotland) and my noc code was 7312- heavy duty equipment mechanic. I was offered the job in July of 2013 no that's not a typing error. I waited almost 19 months for my lmia to be approved. But eventually last week it finnaly got sent through. Unfortunately I can't give any other details purely because I don't know, my application is being sponsored by my employer and it was all dealt with via lawyers and employer in alberta. There were a few complications along the way as when first application was submitted it was the old LMO format, so I don't imagine everyone that is applying for the same job as me will have to wait as long as me but if anyone wants any advice it will be to be patient.

I wish everyone still waiting on approval the best of luck and hope the day comes sooner rather than later.
