Hey

I want to participate in an internship (6 months) in Canada and have already received an employment contract. I am a student from Germany (permanent residence permit for Germany) with a turkish citizenship and will continue my M. Sc. degree here (in Germany) after my stay in Canada.
The eligibility test on the CIC website says that i can be hired by an employer through the International Mobility Program. The institution in canada is a cancer research centre and I possess a Bachelor of Science degree.
So, I am wondering if LMIA is necessary in my case, since IMP does not require it (according to CIC). Does the fact that the institution is a research centre may play a role for the LMIA exemption?

Will it be correct to apply for an work permit with LMAI exemption?

If you're going through International Mobility, then you are exempt of LMIA.
